WOYWW 481

It's Wednesday and that means a visit to Julia's lovely blog and lots of other lovely crafting spaces to explore and enjoy. If you don't know what I'm talking about, the head over to WOYWW 481 at Julia's lovely blog and find out ... and I hope you'll join in the fun.

I can't really believe it's Wednesday already, but here we go! Sorry this is a long post, but I thought I'd share something of my birthday on Monday as well as a bit of craftiness.

This is the left hand side of my desk - some papers and flowers out ready for two 8 x 8 birthday cards that I've been commissioned to make ... although by the time I start to make them I'll probably change my mind and use something different - lol!

This is the right side of my desk - some goodies I got yesterday from Hobbycraft. It was my birthday on Monday and I received a £5 discount emailed to me from Hobbycraft ... so it would have been rude not to have used this birthday gift.

Talking of my birthday, I had a wonderful day ... made special by the fact that John was here (he was in hospital last year for my 70th so we couldn't really celebrate together). I took him by wheelchair and we went to Ask Italian for lunch, then on to Hotel Chocolat for a big box of 'dark fix', then into M & S for flowers etc.

And John's flowers weren't the only ones I received. I even have some in the craft room near me, sent by friends:

And now some photos of the beautiful cards I received, along with flowers that John gave me:

And there are even flowers on the kitchen windowsill, given to me by a friend, who also gave me some yummy chocolates and the mug you can see in the middle of one of the photos above.

I received three M & S gift cards and also money ... so I'll have a spending spree very soon.

Hope to see you at WOYWW 481.

  17. Oh Hazel how do you manage to keep your work space so tidy? I have 2 desks and can't see either of them!!!!!!! I truly do have too much stuff.

  18. Sorry I'm late Hazel, again! Belated happy returns, you deserve all the flowers ad cards. Isn't it lovely to have so many that you have to dot them throughout the house. I'm fascinated that you can pick out embellishments and such out before you've even got the card size and image sorted. I am so inflexible in the way I do things, I must try to break the habit and see if it helps!
