It's Wednesday again and in crafty blogland that means it's WOYWW day, so here is my crafting space for WOYWW 142.
This is a photo of the overall area in which I craft:
I decided that today I would try and take my photos more looking down on to the work surface, so here goes. This is the scene to the left of where I sit. You can see the baby card I've just made. My twinchies and inchies that I made yesterday are lurking behind that box of inks - they need to be posted today - there are some Cath Kidson papers to the left and some golf decoupage sheets that are needed to make a commissioned card.
This is where I sit, so the computer is always in evidence, but the keyboard is put out of the way to give maximum space to work in. You can see the little chick stamp that I actually bought to use on Easter cards, but it had it's first outing this morning on the baby card I've just made - you can see some baby offcut papers that weren't used. Over on the right are some stamps etc that are to be used on a card for this week's Daring cardmakers challenge (hope I get round to this soon).
To the right of where I sit you can see some Easter stamps that are waiting to be used - I really do need to get on with making some Easter cards as I have been asked to sell cards at our church's WEF on Friday 2 March - help, that's quite soon! There are also some fairy tale stickers etc that are ready to use in a circle journal that I'll be receiving soon.
I managed to get round to lots of blogs last week - I'm not sure how well I'll do this week, but I'll try and visit as many as possible. Thank you for all the kind crafters who visit my blog and leave comments - they are much appreciated.

For baby
When sorting through my craft stuff last week I came across a Baby gift card pocket that I'd put together some time ago and never done anything with it, so I decided to use it on a card this morning. I chose a tag shaped card that has a ready-printed coloured edge and stamped random chicks with a Personal Impressions springtime 'tinchies'. I inked the stamp with yellow citrus chalk ink and then embossed with clear detail - I was disappointed with the result because it was hardly visible. However, I then coloured the chicks with copic Y21 buttercup yellow - you can just about see the embossed outline of the chicks if the card is held in the right light!
The striped card inside the pocket has a couple of little cuts that will house a gift card.
This is for:

Totally stampalicious: baby card

Suzie's 365 day 53: ordinary
When I saw that Suzie's photo prompt for today is 'ordinary' I wondered what I could do - then I thought of our 'ordinary' glasses in the cupboard. Because John has very little vision we do have quite a few breakages of crockery and glass - particularly because our kitchen floor is tiled and anything that falls breaks.
We do have some 'nice' glasses that are hardly ever used - high days and holidays - but for everyday we use 'ordinary' ones that can be replaced without too much expense.
So here is my photo for Suzie's day 53: ordinary:
And, yes, I know that I haven't done anything yet for yesterday's prompt - that's got to wait till tomorrow - I have an idea for that.

Love inchies
These inchies are for this month's 'love' theme for the swap on the Bubbly Funk forum.
I used snippets of card that were left from making the ATCs earlier today - from paper by Tim Holtz in the vintage shabby range. I stamped an unknown heart stamp with warm red chalk ink and embossed with detail clear, just adding a heart gem to each of them.

Love and seduction
'Love and seduction' is the theme for the twinchies swap this month on the Bubbly Funk forum.
I used my Hampton Art corset stamp, stamping with memento rich cocoa on to pieces of Tim Holtz vintage shabby papers in a neutral colour. I then coloured the corset with copics and added some fired brick distress stickles. The Love stamp is from Hobbycraft and the elongated heart is Dovecraft. I gently distressed the edges of the twinchies with fired brick DI.
The photo doesn't do them justice, but it's the best I could get (will replace with a better one if the light is good in the morning, before I put these in the post):

ATC 'heart' swap
These are my ATCs for the February swap on the Bubbly Funk forum, where we needed to use a heart.
I started with a 12 x 12 paper from Tim Holtz's vintage shabby range, cutting into ATC sized pieces. I then stampedthe cArt-Us heart stamp with warm red chalk ink and embossed with detail clear powder. I then stamped two corners with part of the Dimensions crafts flourish, again using warm red chalk ink and embossing. I then distressed around the ATCs with fired brick DI.

Mark the date on the calendar
Yes, I know it's far too early to make the date on the calendar, but Christmas day is marked on this calendar stamped with Sally Moret stamps with the month and day circled.
This is for Everybody art 180: calendar.
I've used an offcut of My Mind's Eye Christmas glitter paper (left over from a 12 x 12 paper), so this is another entry for Pixie's Crafty Snippets 8.
The 'Holidays' panel with reindeer and lights and the gift are chipboard and the holly is an Anna Griffin 3D sticker.

Bling and wings and pretty things
Kath's challenge on Crafts by Carolyn for TTC12-02 is 'bling and wings and pretty things'. I've been meaning to do something for this, but the days have gone by all too quickly, but here is a card at last.
I've used the sketch for Cards und more 47:
The card blank is one from a recently-acquired set - the pattern is the same on the back of the card. The embossed scalloped circle with butterflies is recycled from a car received years ago, mounted on a doiley, with the addition of some flowers and Poundland gems.
Colours are for Cupcake inspirations 148:

18 2DAY
This is a shaped card that I've had for ages - I think it was originally from Craftwork Cards in with some other shaped ones. Anyway, it was ready embossed, so I distressed with fired brick DI and used yellow stickles for the headlights and little side lights and a C3 copic grey on the wheel. The number plate was generated with my dymo letratag.

Card for a 14 year old lad
One of my great nephews has a birthday this coming week and I admit that I'd put off making a card because I was short on ideas. He plays golf, so I'd already done a golfing card for mum to send. In the end I've used some paper that has lots of 'masculine' images and made a focal point of the stamped sentiment, stamped on to toning paper and layered up.
I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Suzie's 365 day 50: fashion
Mmmm I had to think about this one. When I think of some of the fashions I wore in the past - the days of the mini skirt, hot pants, maxi coats ... those were the days!
Then I remembered that I have a special suit at the back of the wardrobe - it was my 'going away suit' on our wedding day in 1991. I'm not really sure why I bothered with a 'going away suit' (other than that's what people tended to do back then) because I only wore it to go home, where we spent the night and then travelled on our honeymoon the next morning, with me wearing jeans (no special suit in sight).
The padded shoulders of the 80s lingered over into the 90s. It amazes me now to think that I had trouble getting anything suitable for the occasion because everything I tried was too big!! This suit was a small size 8 - did I ever have a waist that small - well, yes, I did!
So here is my 'fashion' for Suzie's day 50:
I've no idea really why I keep it - it's not as if I'll ever wear it again! I kept my wedding dress for a few years and then gave it to a charity shop.

Letters and flowers
'Letters and flowers' is the name of the Penny Black stamp I've used, simply inking with memento tuxedo black and stamping on to a scrap of striped blue and white paper.
I've followed Daniele's sketch for Sketch n stash 81, using up old supplies - the padded fabric hearts have been in the box for some time, as has the lace and ribbon. The background paper is 7 gypsies baja journey, the spotted paper is a piece out of my offcuts box. This is the sketch:

Fleur Anya goes to a wedding
I wanted to make a card for the February photo inspiration challenge on Anyone for Anya - this was the photo:
The immediate thought was to make a wedding day card, but I didn't have a Greeting farm image suitable, but went through my Anya stamps and thought that Fleur Anya would be suitable as a flower girl/bridesmaid going to a wedding - the card could even be used as a thank you to a little girl for being a bridesmaid. Fleur Anya was stamped with memento and coloured with copics.
I used the sketch for Sweet Sunday 152:
Once again all the papers are from my offcuts box - even the script background paper is a snippet left over from a 12 x 12 paper, so this is yet another one for Pixie's crafty snippets 7, also for Delightful: use your scraps and The house that stamps built DCC214 leftovers challenge - using what's left over on your desk.
I've had the die cut flowers for ages - thought it was about time I used some of them!

Cupcake thanks
This is for Maggie's sketch on Sunday sketch & stamp 93:
I had offcuts of pinks and browns out from making the last card and I hadn't put away the Kanban cupcake stamps or copics, so I used them on this card, which is another one therefore for Pixie's crafty snippets 7, also for The house that stamps built DCC214 leftovers challenge - using what's left over on your desk. As I've used pink and brown again it's another card for Deep ocean 19.

Cupcakes with love
This card was prompted by the photo inspiration given for Birthday sundaes 43: birthday card using the picture, which must include a heart and a birthday sentiment:
I used three of the yummy Kanban cupcake stamps inked with memento tuxedo black, masked and coloured with copics, each one topped with an epoxy heart. Mad for markers current challenge is 'pink/red' using RV or R copics - I used RV000, RV02, RV04, RV06, RV10, RV21, RV23 and R85.
'I will always love you' is the theme for Sunday stamper 192, so I'm linking for that. I know that Valentine's day has been and gone, but I think this is still OK for Addicted to stamps 23, because it features love.
All papers are from my offcuts box, so another one or Pixie's crafty snippets 7.
I chose the colours for Deep Ocean 19: pink and brown - I love that colour combo, but haven't used it for a while, so this was a good opportunity.

Perfect pair: two cards, two colours
The challenge for City crafter 96 'perfect pair' is to make 2 cards identical, but with different colours, lilac and blue.
When I was having a crafty sort out recently I came across a box of Blocs by Art & Crafts Direct that I bought years ago - at that time I obviously thought it was a good idea to buy loads and loads of them, use a few and then leave them at the back of the cupboard. So I decided to use these for this challenge.
The flowers are habico held in the middle with tiny flower brads, sticky stitched ribbons from Hobbycraft and sentiments from stash.
These are also for:
4 crafty chicks 77: let's double down - two of anything
Party time Tuesday 55: get well wishes
Moving along with the times: get well soon
Challenge up your life 63: get well soon

Suzie's 365 day 49: domestic
As it really hurts my back to bend, it's usually John's job to load/unload the dishwasher, so here he is doing this domestic chore for Suzie's day 49.
I've just realised that it looks as if there's snow in the garden, but it's just the way the light has reflected on the window - definitely no snow, thank goodness!

CHNC challenge 60: create a scene
There's a new challenge over on my CHNC blog and for this week I'm asking you to 'create a scene'. Challenge 60 is being sponsored by Digi Doodle Shop - you can read more about it here.
For my card I've used a digital stamp supplied by Digi Doodle Shop called 'Christmas church'. I digitally coloured the scene in Paint, leaving most of it as snow, which fits the For fun challenge: I love snow.
I followed the sketch for Sketchy Colors 104:
I used various offcuts from my Christmas scraps box - another for Pixie's Crafty Snippets 7 and for Delightful: use your scraps, keeping the theme to blue, white and silver for Christmas crafting February 8.
I punched two snowflakes with a woodware punch and centred them with brads, which is OK for Jingle belles: all buttoned-up (brads are allowed instead of buttons),also for Frosted designs fabulous Friday: brads and/or eyelets, also Shopping our stash 39: metal mania.
