A now for something different ...
... I used to do a lot of cross stitching, but had to give up because my back suffered too much from sitting in one position concentrating on it. This is the last item that I cross stitched, done a while ago, but never blogged.
Unfortunately, impossible to get a photo without a bit of reflection on the glass - and I don't want the bother of taking it out of the frame.

It is such a sweet piece, Hazel--too bad that you can't cross-stitch anymore! :^) Thanks for sharing with us at Lady Anne's! :^)

This is so tender, Hazel! Very well done!
ReplyDeleteI used to CC, too, and miss it ... but by the time I feel the urge to get back to it, I probably won't be able to do it physically either. Dang shame.
(I used to cross-stitch, too, but it takes so long and then there's all the faff and expense of framing... I like paper best!)
ReplyDeleteYour stitching is so neat and clean! I love Faye Whittaker's sweet, nostalgic designs. Fab work, hun!!

I love cross stitch Hazel and what a terrific piece you have created. The vintage boy and girl are perfect together and I think your picture turned out very well. Thanks for joining us at Make It Monday.
ReplyDeleteHazel this is beautifully done. I use to do this too and needlepoint. Thank you for playing along at Lady Anne's.
ReplyDeleteI saw your photo on MIM how darling. I love counted x stitch. Gerat work. Love it and nice change from paper crafting.
ReplyDeleteGlad you shared this - it's lovely work! I used to cross stitch too but found cardmaking a lot quicker! :) I'm so happy you joined me this week at my Amusing Challenges! I hope you will visit again! :)
ReplyDeleteVisiting from DLART Thankful Thurs Linky Party. Wonderful handmade creation. I have one made that was given to me of a Hummel scene of a little girl looking over a fence at Swans. I have it hanging in my bedroom.

That's so beautiful. Reminds me that I have a cross-stitch project that has never been finished. Thanks for playing along with us at {Pin}spirational Challenge.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! This takes me back to the years (many of them) when counted crosstitch was my hobby of choice.
ReplyDeleteThank you for participating in this week's {PIN}Spirational Challenge.
Just beautiful! Used to love to cross stitch but couldn't do it now....this is just so very precious (-:
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining us at Sugar Creek Hollow
