Friday Sketchers Bunny

This is this week's Friday Sketchers 43:

Tanda Teaser 89 this week is 'all creatures great and small', so I think bunny will qualify! (Oooops - just looked on Tanda and discovered this was last week's teaser - ah well!)

Sadly, this week sees the last challenge on Arty Girlz, which is 'stamping', so I'm linking there for the last time.

Papers are PM and the stamped image coloured with copics. Glitzy eggs are from Poundland.

Willow Sketchie Challenge

I thought I'd have a go at the Willow Sketchie Challenge 5/3/09. This is Katy's sketch:
'Katy's little twist this week.....let me see some dotty and stripes on your cards.'

This is the first time I've taken part in this and I bought the snowman download and used that, including the dots and just added a couple of pieces of matching stripey paper at the top and bottom:

Ready, Steady, Cook! with orange!

The theme on DCM this week is 'Ready, Steady, Cook!' Kathy said:

'Here are your ingredients:3 different papersAt least one piece of chipboardAt least 1 buttonAt least 1 piece of ribbonoptional: 1 extra item/element of your choice.'

As Kathy had set the challenge, I thought I'd use one of her sketches from her Kathy's Waffle Sketch File blog, so I chose No. 4 'lines and layers' (although I have to confess that I cheated a bit to accommodate the image): My three pieces of paper were American Crafts the goods 'awesome', BG (not sure which) and a piece of recycled envelope lining. I included the other necessary ingredients: ribbon, button and chipboard and my addition was the stamped image.

I kept to the main colour of orange for this week's Theme Thursday.

Going green again

I've done another card for 365 'going green', but this time I've incorporated it into other challenges, including Kaboodle 4, which is a sketch by Andrea:

All the materials once again are recycled, so they fit nicely for Betty's Rendevous Monday challenge on Cuttlebug to think green and recycle.

The main card is from packaging, the stamped card was also from packaging, stamped with part of a Dawn Bibby stamp with deep green chalk ink, which was also swiped over the square that had been cuttlebug embossed (a better view of the embossing if you click on the picture). Once again the ribbon had been rescued from packaging, the small rectangle on the left from the back of an envelope and the middle dark panel from a swatch card.

As Ive used some stamping, I'm also linking for Stamp Something challenge this week, which is 'something green'.

I'm also showing this card on Scrapstars for the Irish challenge.

Going green

Today's 365 challenge 18 is 'going green'.

I've gone green in two ways - firstly, the colour green dominates my card; secondly, everything on the card is 'green' in that it is recycled. The cat images were cut from a card I received, the main background was the inside of an envelope, the scalloped strip down the lefthand side was cut from a bag that a flower arrangement came in and the ribbon was rescued from packaging.
