A yummy card

This is for the sketch on CPS 202:

A quick and simple card using 'chocolate sprinkles' cardstock and cupcakes with sentiment strips, all from a kit bought last year from QVC - I actually bought it because I wanted the cupcake stamps, but am still trying to use up the cards and die cuts that came with it.

This is also for:

Cupcake 126: food for thought
Scrappy frogs: hey cupcake
Moxie Tuesday trigger: sweets for the sweet

A touch of lilac

Oh dear - I entered a couple of cards for this week's Play Date cafe challenge 66: colour splash - lilac, but, unfortunately, I didn't look properly and failed to see that the card should have been black and white with a splash of lilac.

So here is a card that I hope fits the challenge. The paper and the large topper was from a pack by 'red line' - when I bought this I thought the toppers were die cut, but they weren't, so I had to cut by hand. I then mounted on to a piece of DCWV textured lilac card and cut round that - the result: a very simple card. The topper is so big that there isn't room for anything else, even though it's a 6 x 6 card - and it hides most of the swirly paper underneath. I added a couple of PM ribbon bows just to add a further little splash of lilac.

This is also for:

Commissioned 40th birthday card

I was asked to make a 40th birthday card, perhaps using purples and pinks. It's good to have a sketch to focus on, so I chose that given by Emma for Sunday sketch & stamp 45:

I used all Basic Grey papers - euphoria, blush and lemonade. The stamp is on that I bought quite a while ago at a craft fair - this is the first time I've used it, I have to admit - Sleek designs 'elegant lady', coloured with copics.

I added three of the prima flowers that I received this morning as part of my prize from Creative Prompts and Let's Capture our Memories - you can see the post about it here. They look so lush I just couldn't wait to start using them (and I still have three of them left).

The colours are for Curtain call 66:

Look what postie brought me this morning

In August it was announced that I was the July winner on Creative Prompts challenge blog - you can read about it here. The prize was $20 to spend at Let's Capture our Memories online store. Because of various things going on at the time I didn't actually choose my items until the beginning of December and then there was a hiccup with the post ... all sorted out by the lovely Tanya from Let's Capture our Memories ... and this is what arrived this morning:

I'm so glad I chose these items - I can't wait to start using them. In fact, I need to make a commissioned card today for a 40th birthday and the request was to include pink/purple, so I think some of these gorgeous primas are going to be put to good use straight away.

BF January inchies received

Here are the lovely inchies I received this morning from the group swap on BF forum for January 'green and orange'

Thank you, girls, for the lovely crafting.

Santa cupcake

This is for the sketch on Sketchy colors challenge 55:

It's also for ABC Christmas challenge B is for black and white, which calls for the use of a Dustin Pike image (sponsoring the challenge) - this is the image I used.

The main background paper is from the Webster's Christmas range (the other side of a double sided paper - oh, how could I possibly not use the other gorgeous side?). The black with sparkly stars and circles was an offcut left over from long ago. The sparkly sticky ribbon is Anita's. The sentiment isn't very clear here - it says 'with love at Christmas'.

As this card features a Santa I'm sharing it for my CHNC challenge 5 - if you haven't yet discovered my Christmas challenge blog, please hop on over there - it would be lovely to see your creations.
