Swing card for a birthday boy

In my travels around crafting blogland I came across Party time Tuesday - their challenge 5 is to make a swing card for a masculine birthday.

For a sew and sew?

For this card I used a piece of unknown paper that's been in my scraps box for ages (I have another similar piece still) - I thought it lends itself to a sewing theme, hence the little topper with the 'dress it all' button scissors that fit perfectly over the scissors that were printed on the topper.

The image is 'antique buttons' by Stampington, stamped with memento rich cocoa with the addition of a few 'real' buttons. I inked the torn edges of the paper with silver ink and added the stitched ribbon down the lefthand side.

This is for:

Stampin' sisters in Christ 78: buttons
Iris' spot 14: buttons
Pink gem 15: buttons and bows
Pear tree 38: ribbon
Shelly's terrifically thrilling Thursday: let's play with ribbon
Corrosive 105: distressing
Anything goes: distressing
CCEE 1108: distress
Wild orchid 18: anything goes
Papertake weekly: anything goes + optional: something old (everything!)
Paper romance 39: anything goes
Guylou's intimitability: anything goes

Moos and inchies

Postie has brought me the moos and inchies from the swaps for February on the BF forum.

Thank you, girls, for these lovely little works of art.

Love and romance inchies:

Sadly the love heart on Nicky's inchie got a bit worse for wear in the post - but perhaps it adds to the theme - sometimes, sadly, love and romance ends up with a broken heart!

Red for passion moos:
