The same, but different ...

I still have a few Christmas cards to make - you'd think I'd done enough by now (just as well that I love making them). Anyway, when I saw today's challenge 77 on Die cut dreams: 'seeing triple' - 3 cards that match with the same LO - I decided to use the current sketch 102 on Lord have Mercy for the three cards:

For each card I've used the Peace on Earth Personal Impressions stamp, heat embossing with silver or black detail as appropriate, inspired by the challenge today on Inspiration Avenue for 'peace'.

The first card has paper from the English Paper Company. This card is for Stamptacular 88: blue ... blue ... Christmas, Dottie: anything goes - blue, Lexi 28: blue & silver, Cute card Thursday 131: the blues, and for City crafter 33: blue Christmas.

The second card has papers from Kate Knight Christmas collection. For this card the lacy black band has a flocked velvety finish, which is good for Stamp insanity 37: luscious lace! the fabric of our lives ... This card is also for Paper playtime 28: snowflakes, Alota 48: snowflakes, Sew many challenges 34: snowflakes, and Stampavie 119: snowflakes:

The third card has papers from the Kate Knight Christmas collection, plus the piece with Merry Christmas which is DCWV:

Silver Santa ATCs

The ATC swap for December on BF forum is 'S' - anything with the letter 'S', so I've done my ATCs with a Santa stamped and heat embossed with detail silver - and, of course, there are also some snowflakes there.

I've used one of my all-time favourite stamps - Rubber Stampede 'Santa collage'.

I'm a bit miffed that I didn't get a better photo, but I was in a hurry because the girl who comes to do our cleaning said she would take post for me, so I wanted to get them done in time. I'm still not able to get out. The snow began to thaw on Saturday and yesterday, but last night turned very cold again with freezing fog and today the temperature hasn't risen. We are right near to a bus stop, but the pavements to get there are very snowy and icy, so I can't risk going out.

Anyway, back to the ATCs - the stamped images are mounted on to silver mirri card, which is always difficult to photograph - so, where you see black it really is silver and the embossing sparkles.

Once Goldie had taken them to the post, I made another similar one to try and get a better photo but, although it does show the sparkle etc, it does look a bit as if Santa is a ghost! It looks much better irl.
