CHNC 172: make it square .... or include a square on your creation

This is my design card for today's CHNC challenge 172: make it square ... or include a square on your creation.

I've used a square card blank matted with papers from Echo Park's Winter Wishes by Michelle Coleman. The snowman digital image is Paper Pretties warm winter wishes (one of the sponsors of CHNC challenge 172), coloured with spectrum noir pens, cut out with a nestie die and edged on the inverted scallops with a spectrum noir. The big bold sentiment is from Beccy's Place digital 'snowman set'.

Completely Christmas challlenge 7

Today's Completely Christmas challenge 7 is being sponsored by Lacy Sunshine and I have used the 'Bubbles ice skating' image kindly supplied. Please click on the challenge link to see the lovely creations of the rest of the team and join in the Christmas fun.

I coloured the image with spectrum noir pens, tearing around a perspex oval template and inking with one of the pens. The background card is Hunkydory, an offcut of purple card and I've used a mixture of stars and snowflakes.

Suzy Bee's bloomin' challenge 24

Today sees the start of Suzy Bee's bloomin' challenge 24 - please click on the link to see the lovely designs of the rest of the team, using images from our sponsor for this week, Lacy Sunshine and, hopefully, join in the challenge - it's 'anything goes' which is always popular.

For my design card I used Lacy Sunshine's 'Jack and Lily' image, coloured with spectrum noir pens and cut out with a scalloped nestie, brushing lightly with distress ink.. Papers are all from my offcuts box. The butterflies and vellum die cuts with silver foiled leaves are from a Dawn Bibby kit bought long, long ago (and I still have a load of similar items from the days when I used to avidly watch QVC and got hooked into buying things that I 'needed' ... so much so that they are still in boxes!). I used small remnants of pink gingham ribbon for the corners. The sentiment circle from Craftwork Cards is silver foiled, although it looks dark in the photo.

The card was based on this sketch for Sunday sketch & stamp 201:
