Dottie's challenge sketch

There will be a new challenge on Dottie's World tomorrow morning, so I'm just scraping in with this one for the sketch that was posted last week by Karen: I've used some more of the CBC swap I received from Ruth. I used a piece of my own DCWV background paper and Girl About Town Dottie download 'Sarah', apart from the gold heart, everything else was from Ruth's colour scheme swap:

Window: inside out

The theme yesterday on 365 cards was 'inside out': 'create a card that is primarily embellished on the inside, along with the sentiment.'

The base card for this is a Carol Wilson one, which provided a window for me to line inside, add a 3d rub on flower and sticky ribbon flowers, as well as the two sentiments:

CBC Colour scheme swap

On CBC Claire (artfartymack) hosted a colour scheme swap and I received this lovely mix of goodies from Ruth (mamaluke):

I've used the sketch from Cutie Sunday 33 to make my first card with some of these delightful goodies:

I coloured in the stamped image with copics and then highlighted certain parts of the main paper to co-ordinate, dabbing the flowers at the edges and middles in the righthand bottom corner.

I so enjoyed making this card. I still have some goodies left, so I'll be using them for another card (there's even some embroidery thread, so you never know, I might incorporate a bit of sewing!)

CBC Birthday Bash challenge 3

When I made these gift tags this morning I thought they would be just right for Sue's Birthday Bash challenge 3 on CBC, but now I've looked again and seen that they should be Birthday tags - however, I'm hoping Sue will forgive me for the little cheat ('cos she cheats a lot!).

These are for a Golden Wedding couple - we're going to their service of celebration this afternoon. I made the tags to match up with the cards I made earlier in the week - scroll down a bit - (one from mum and one from us).
