CHNC challenge extra for July mid-month inspiration.

Mid-month has come round so quickly again - difficult to think that we are now much nearer to Christmas 2015 than 2014. It's time for some mid-month inspiration from the team. We would love you to join in our July challenge here.

For my card I used  Aurora Wings Christmas owl with Santa hat, colouring with chameleon pens and matting on to an offcut of paper, then on to a couple more Christmas offcuts (the main background is BoBunny). Poinsettias from Poundland. I added Art Institute fine glitter to the edges of the hat.

Sometimes life is an uphill struggle ...

I was asked for make a card for friends to send to a keen cyclist who is going through a difficult time. I found this image free on the internet and thought it fitted the requested. I created the whole card digitally and then printed out. I wish I'd taken a picture of the actual card before I gave it to my friends because the digital image that I've saved hasn't made the card look as good as it was - somehow the jpg got saved with a weaker resolution. The text going up the hill is '... it is the Lord who goes before you,' Deut. 31:8.

It did look much better than this printed out ... honestly!

This is my design card for Fan-tastic challenge 94: anything goes with a twist ... use some lace. Please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and join in with your entries.

The lovely picture was supplied by Dazzling Ace Designs, sponsor of the challenge. As it is a long and narrow image I decided to use a DL card black, covered in some lovely purple and silver HOTP paper that I've had for ages. I can't remember where I got the silver lace from, but thought it was just right for this card with the addition of the sentiment and the Hobbycraft flower.
