Commissioned birthday card

I've been asked to make a birthday card A5 size, pink/purple girlie with 60 somewhere on the front - I hope this fits the bill.

I've used a card blank that was already decorated with an oval centre, which I've used to stick inside the card, but can still be seen through the aperture. I stamped on to the oval with one of my favourite Funstamps sentiment inking with stazon vibrant violet.

The flowers are a mixture from stash, including the pink and white Docrafts ones and the centre Craftime ones. I thought the three little lilac flowers at the bottom corner would counter balance the 60 at the top.

Colours are for Crafts4eternity R96:

Difficult to show the colours accurately in the photos - they look different in the two different attempts:

Crafting granddaughters

Our daughter-in-law and the girls came to visit yesterday. We had lunch and spent the afternoon together, bringing mum over for the last half an hour so that she could see her great grandchildren.

I've put an album of photos of facebook, but thought I'd show the crafting girls here - they spent lots of time in my craftroom, happily being creative:

CHNC challenge 97: use at least three patterned papers

It's getting nearer to Christmas now, so it's time to get on with those cards - of course, some people have been making them all through the year and have been joining in my CHNC challenges and other Christmas challenges too, but if you haven't, then why not join in now? For my CHNC challenge 97 I'm asking to see Christmas cards made by using at least three patterned papers.

For my card I used patterned papers from my Christmas offcuts box, some mounted on to pieces of glittered card. I stamped the Clarity 'We three kings' stamp with memento Paris dusk on to a piece of white glimmered card that was then mounted on to blue mirror card - all pieces used were offcuts, so this is for Pixie's crafty snippets 44 (just squeezing in before the gates close).

I based my card on the sketch given for Always playing with paper merry Monday 39:

I seem to have been using this stamp in the last week - only got it recently, but it's already one of my Christmas favourites and when I saw the challenge for Winter wonderland this week: 'While shepherds watched or we three kings' I just had to use it again. Stars etc and greeting are from stash.
