Summer sea and surf

For this card I've used the Sweet stop sketch 167:

I used some DCWV surfboard paper for the background - I've had this for ages and ages and never used it.

The image is by Di's Digi Downloads, coloured with copics.
Colours for the card were prompted by Crafts4eternity 80, where this picture was given for the Olympic colours:

The pieces of striped paper are from offcuts, so another one for Pixie's crafty snippets 29and Hiding in my craftroom 54: super scraps Saturday.

So here is my card:

Suzie's 365 photos catch up

I thought I'd do a little catch up for Suzie's 365 photos before I get too far behind again.

Day 198 : hero - Oscar as John's first guide dog - a real canine hero (I'm sure I've shown this photo before - it's one of my favourites of him - but  I don't think that matters):

Day 199: busy - As I'm still at home atm the only 'busy' I could think of was a photo I took in Trafalgar Square a while back - it's always busy there:

Day 200: airborne - the sun came out for a while this afternoon, in between the clouds, so I sat out in the garden for a bit ... and waited for a plane to come along ... eventually it did (not that you can see it much - lol!):

Day 201: cheese - this one was more accessible than the rest - I only had to stroll to the fridge:

On the beach

It would be nice to be on the beach in the sun. At least the sun has now come out a bit (since I said in my previous post that it didn't look like summer looking out of the window).

I've used an offcut piece from the DCWV paper that I used for the previous card (I might even make another couple of cards to use up the rest of the 12 x 12 instead of putting it in the offcuts box), so this is an opportunity to have a gentle stroll in the playground at Pixie's crafty snippets 29 - I might even feel like a gentle turn on the swings, which shows that I'm feeling a bit better - also for Hiding in my craftroom 54: super scraps Saturday.

The main image is a Delicious doodles 'beach huts' digital stamp coloured with copics and Marvy le plume alcohol pens. I also used their 'deckchair' image, printed it and cut it out to stick on the main image. In retrospect I gave myself a harder job than I needed to do because I cut out the tiny bits and then realised that I could have just coloured the white paper with the yellow to match the sand! I've added a pair of the sunglasses from stash like the previous card. The striped papers are from my snippets.

Summer

Well, according to the calendar it should definitely be summer, but looking out of the window doesn't confirm that. So I think it's time to get into the summer mood with crafting (I spend so much of my crafting time making Christmas cards).

For this card I've used a Di's digi download 'beach-background', coloured with copics and Marvy le Plume alcohol pens. The background paper is DCWV and the sunglasses and flipflops are from stash.

Christmas poinsettia

For this card I've used a stamp that I've had for years. I used to use it a lot, but haven't done so for some time. I inked with memento and coloured with copics. The card shape was ready shaded with green, which I then mounted on to a white card blank and distressed with victorian velvet - probably overdid the distressing because you can't see much of the original green now! The sentiment stamp is from a free set with Quick Cards. I had to add the two little sticker flowers because I smudged some ink from my hand so I needed to cover it up and didn't want to waste the card.

This is for:

Annabelle: say it in red, green and white

Clear it out: Christmas in July - something red or green or both
Oldie but a goodie: flower power (the stamp is much more than six months old)
