BF July ATCs

The theme for the July ATC swap on BF forum is 'girly'.

I used a Charmed download, 'Louise', from the Girls about town set (I love the Charmed downloads - I think I've bought nearly all of them - and I noticed there's a new one I haven't got ... might have to treat myself).

I printed it on to a shimmery pink card which enabled me to quickly put some clear embossing powder on and heat, which has given a lovely shiny look to it. I took the photo in a hurry because I wanted to get the ATCs into the post (I didn't even check the photo), so it's pretty poor, but does, in fact, show the sheen on the pink card and the embossed look - much better irl.

I rounded the corners, inserted some ribbon and then backed them with some shimmery slate grey stardream card.

I'm linking these for Scrappy frogs: 'Are you a girlie girl?'

Salt:A trouble-free life?

It's time for a new Salt challenge - gosh, how quickly a fortnight goes by - and this time Pauline chose the theme - you can read what she said here.

John and I have to certainly agree that being Christians doesn't make us exempt from troubles, but, as St Paul said, God's grace is sufficient in every circumstance.

I have concentrated on the verse the Pauline quoted:

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God."
2 Corinthians 1:3-4

My card uses papersand ribbons from the PM Persimmon collection - 'reminiscent of a bygone era' - I bought the paper pad and ribbons a while ago and this is the first time I've used any. The three Craftime flowers that I've used seem to go well with the colour combo.

The verse was computer generated and I paper pierced around it - haven't done any of that for a long time - I used to paper pierce using various templates to make patterns and pictures (perhaps I'll dig some of these out again soon), but this time I just used a ruler to get the regular piercings.

It's a simple card, but one that I hope brings comfort to someone.
