A tall card

This card is for sketch 37 on Card Patterns:

As it's a tall card it's right for Caardvarks 'a tall order'.

Day 230: 'shape up!' on 365 cards calls for a semi circle to be used, so I'm linking for that, and as there is chalked embossing, I'm also linking for the Treehouse challenge 20 (sorry that the embossing doesn't show up well and the colour looks different to real life).

The paper for the semi circle is BG Scarlet's letter (still one of my fav, despite having loads and loads of other BG pads).

Anniversary card

This anniversary card uses elements from the music and dance kit from QVC to make the 3D effect, following the sketch on Crazy 4 challenges 7:

This is another card for Crafty Catz 4 colour combo - to use black, white and one other colour, also ribbon and any other embellishments (the black gems). This week's challenge on Paper Maniac Inspirations (now on Sundays) also calls for black, white and a pop of colour.

The topic on C.R.A.F.T. this week for challenge 22 is 'anniversary' - you can see from the second photo that this card is for that occasion.

As this is a '3D' type card with the twisted decoupage (or is it pyramage?), I'm also linking for the special Sunday challenge this week on My Creative Clutter. (I've just added this because I couldn't remember until now where the challenge was!).

It looks as if one of the pieces on the left is out of alignment, but it isn't - it's just the angle of the camera.

Pink card

This card is for Taylored Expressions 87 sketch:

Again I've used Dena design papers and chipboard.

Birthday girl

This card uses this week's sketch on Prairie Papers:

It also uses the picture given this week for Art Creations 45:

The card blank has a pink pearly sheen and the paper is Dena designs.

More clean and simple

Another sketch from Clean & Simple, this time for FTL64:

Papers are again Dena designs and Dovecraft ribbons. The green flower in the first one is Laura Ashley and the roses on both cards are Carol Wilson.

Clean and Simple

These cards are for Clean & Simple FTL63:

They also fit the colours called for on Easy Breezy 'Kewl' colour challenge 8 and also Our Creative Corner color challenge for this week.

Papers are Dena designs, a mixture of flowers and Prima pearls.

Commissioned card

I was asked by a friend to make a card for her husband's birthday with a jazz theme and incorporate a photo of him as a youngster. Some of the music and dance kit I bought a while ago from QVC came in handy for this. I used nesties for the photo and surround and had to resort to peel offs for letters and numbers. It's an A5 card.

This card fits the challenge on Creative Inspirations 19: “A Special Card or Project with Numbers on it”
Also 365 cards day 172: ABC's and 123's

WOYWW

It's Wednesday again - and I only remembered about WOYWW because I visited a couple of blogs where there were pictures for it.

So here's mine tonight:

Animal inchies

It's time to do my inchies for the BF October swap - the theme is 'animals'.

I've used two Penny Black stamps - I think I need a bit of licence for the size of the butterfly in comparison to the dog, but nevermind! They were stamped on to BG Scarlet's letter paper and coloured with copics.

Gingersnap 27 colour challenge is 'orange, green and brown' - all on these inchies.

Clearly orange

This afternoon I made my ATCs for the October swap on BF - the theme is 'orange'.

The theme for DCM this week is 'I can see clearly now' - the leaves I used are a bit pearlised, but are acetate, so I think they count for this challenge. I've had a pack of them for ages and can't remember where I got them from, but they seemed just right - altogether I made nine ATCs like this one.

I'm behind with the Crafty Pad challenge 41, but thought I'd still link as this was a recipe calling for 1 ribbon, 2 papers, 3 brads and a swirl.

The main background paper is BG cupcake mac'n cheese and the bottom right hand corner piece is ambrosia. The Dawn Bibby stamp swirl has been stamped with versamark and clear embossed, although you can't see the shine on here - this fits the Whimsy challenge 24 'emboss-abilities'.

Moving along with the times
17 is to create anything BUT a card - so I thought this ATC is just right.

Paper Cutz Challenge prize

This is the prize I've received for winning challenge 10 at Paper Cutz:

Time together lasts forever

This card is for this week's Simon Says sketch by Domi:

I'm also linking this card for Gingersnap Creations 26 Spicy Supply challenge: 'brads' - the white 'buttons' are brads (I love these).

I'm also linking for Lots to do week 42 'create a card' (and, of course, there are lots more cards on my blog).

The paper is Dream Street delight - joy and the clock is an adornit sticker; ribbon is maya road.

Inside I've put 'Wishing you a very Happy Anniversary'.

New home

Treehouse Thursday Challenge 19 is to case a card from Neva's SCS gallery. I chose this card:

I used one of my favourite new home stamps and coloured with copics. These are the colours for challenge 35:

The nearest colours I had were G21, B05 and R27.

I used 1 ribbon, 2 buttons and three different papers, so the card is good for the recipe for CRAFT challenge 21.

And the card has a key on it, so I'm linking for Wednesday Stamper - I know that the key hasn't been stamped, but there is still stamping on the card.

Scrumptious and bright

This card uses the sketch for Truly Scrumptious challenge 18:

but, oh dear, I didn't look beyond the sketch and now I have looked, I see that it is meant to also be an autumn card, so I've failed miserably to do a card for the TS challenge.

I used the colours of the Color Dare 38:

I've used the recipe from Dutch Dare 62:

2 different colours of cardstock
2 different pieces of Patterned Paper
2 flowers
2 brads
2 gemstones/buttons

And the image fits this week's Mixed Media Monday 'mothers and daughterss'.

The cardstock I've used is Core'dinations (which is a bit of a waste because I didn't tear or distress it), the papers are Basic Grey and the image is a glittered rub on, although the lightly coloured glitter doesn't show up here.

Heart and roses

This card is for Inspirational Card Sketches challenge 38:

It's also for Creative Card Crew 32: 'scallops'.

Apart from the strips of pink and green across the card, everything is Carol Wilson, including the scalloped card blank:

Laura Ashley card

This card is for the sketch on Paper Maniac 3:

It's also a card for today's (day 233) 365 challenge: 'favourite fabric'.

Pam said: 'Today's challenge is about finding inspiration right in your home. Specifically, I want you to find a piece of fabric in your home (it could be from a curtain, quilt, sweater, whatever you can find) that you love. Take a photo of it and share the fabric that inspired your card.'

Well, I had no hesitation as to what to do, because these are the Laura Ashley curtains I have in the room where I craft:

and this is a LA throw that is in the room too:

It just so happened that I had the LA papers with the right pattern, plus a few embellishments, so here is the card:

I do also have the matching LA rubber stamp - perhaps I use that on a card soon.

Basic Grey 6: green, red, blue

Week 6 on BG is a colour combo:

I've used BG cupcake papers and stickers and some ribbon and sentiment from stash:

Cooking up a cupcake

The recipe for challenge 3 on Cooking it up with Katie calls for:

1. An image of something that's been cooked or can be cooked;
2. Use some buttons;
3. Add a little something inside. This could be a decorated message mat, a pocket for a gift card or anything else you come up with.

I used a three-fold card and a sticky BG bling cupcake which I coloured in with a glittery Sakura pink. I printed the recipe and stuck it inside so it shows when you open the front flap to the left.

Fiskarettes
Monday challenge is 'cupcakes' (a new challenge tomorrow, so only just scraping in with this one!)

As I've used a tall card it's good for CCEE 'shape up and stand tall'. It's another one for MMM pink. As the card is all shades of pink, I'm also linking for Paper Blooms 'monochromatic'

Card-a-licious
29 is to make a card using only three items - mine are: paper, cupcake and buttons - and the use of buttons is another one for Kraftin' Kimmie 2: 'buttons, buttons ... who's got some buttons?'

Autumn day sunshine

It's a lovely sunny day here, but with a definite autumnal nip in the air.

This card is for sketch 28 on Stamp with fun:

I've used buttons on my card, so it's good for:

Cupcake
61: 'buttons and stitching' (the stitching is on the ribbon)
Kraftin' Kimmie 2: 'buttons, buttons, who's got some buttons?'
Crazy Amigo: 'buttons and knots' (there's a knot in the ribbon)

Paperplay 39 is 'favourite embellishments', which for me, I think, would have to be flowers/blooms, so they are included on this card

There are still a lot of autumn themes around the challenges:

The pink elephant 36: 'fall'
Created by hand: 'harvest time'
Stamp, scrap and doodle Saturdays 11 is a picture inspiration with autumnal colours:

and 3 clovers 35: 'nature' - which can certainly include autumnal colours

It also fits the colours for day 229 on 365 cards

I'm editing this because I've just found the new monthly challenge blog 'By the cute and girly' with 'autumn glory' as the first topic, so I'm linking this card there as it was made after the challenge was launched.

I used BG June bug and Infuse papers, stamping with a Laura Ashley stamp with stazon blazing red:

After the coffee morning sale, my stock of A6 size birthday cards is sadly depleted (well, I shouldn't say 'sadly' because it was good that people wanted them) - so I now need to replenish (although really I prefer making square cards, but have got quite a stock of them, so I must be disciplined - ha ha!)

Fairy-nuff

This card uses the sketch from Friday Sketchers 74:

It is also for 'fairy-nuff', which is this week's challenge on Cute Daisy May.

The swirls of gold stickles across the base of the card represents the sprinkling of fairy dust and seems appropriate for 365 day 227: 'in motion'.

Paper Cutz challenge 13 asks us to use a tag, which is on this card.

ABC this week is F for flying - fairies fly, don't they? I've just read on ABC: 'remember this can be anything that flies, insects, fairies even witches.' So that's OK then! And Inspire me Thursday this week is 'winged things' - fairies certainly have wings!

The fairy paper and tag came free with a craft magazine.

Bling on the glitter!

This card is for Our Creative Corner sketch challenge from last week - the card was in fact done on Thursday, but I didn't get round to blogging it, but thought I'd still show it. I flipped the sketch:

This is also another one for If the shoe fits Fashionista Friday 7: 'bling it on!' - not only is the reflective card very 'blingy', but the poinsettia is very glittery.

It's another of those cards that's hard to repressent on here - the reflective silver mirror card looks grey on here, whereas irl it's all like it is at the bottom of the card:
