Thinking of you

This is a card I made last week - suitable for Easter or any time, even for a sympathy card. The background is an offcut of some lovely K & Co embossed textured paper that I've had for years, waiting for the right time to use it and the cross of flowers and sentiment are from a Hunkydory kit.

Fan-tastic Tuesday challenge 80

This is my design card for Fan-tastic Tuesday challenge 80: anything goes with a twist ... use a die or a punch. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs of the rest of the team and join in our challenge.

The image I've used was kindly supplied by the sponsor of the challenge, Pickled Potpourri designs 'morning glories' - I coloured this digitally in Microsoft Paint.

I punched the piece of dark green card using a Martha Stewart 'Happy Birthday' punch, layering this on to the ivory card blank, mounting the image on to a piece of ivory and using a punch to round the corners.

For my card I used a background found free on the internet, on to which I added the lovely 'Among the vines' silhouette by Floppy Latte, kindly supplied by the sponsor, Stitchy Bear Stamps Outlet. I found the quote on the internet and added the clipart grapes.

Let's Craft and Create challenge 100

I am delighted to say that I was invited to join the DT at Let's Craft and Create.

Challenges have re-commenced with some original DT members and some new ones, including me!

This month's challenge 100 is 'Seasonal Flowers'. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs of the rest of the team and, of course, we would love to see your entries.

The prize for this challenge is a Kanban mini black and white kit with die cuts, A4 pearl papers, foiled sentiments and peel offs ...

When thinking of what to feature on my card, I had some bunches of daffodils that were in bud and enjoyed seeing them open up, displaying their lovely bright and cheery colour, so I decided to base my card around that flower.

I used 'daffolil oval' Funstamps inked with versamark and heat embossed with WOW metallic gold rich super fine embossing powder.  I coloured with a mixture of spectrum noir and chameleon pens. The stamp does include a frame around the oval with the word Daffodil, but I decided to cut around and mount this on to an oval of paper torn around a perspex template. Papers are K & Co Daffodil (a 6 x 6 pad that I've had for years!), cutting a piece from one paper to mount in the bottom corner over  the strip with Papermania Lemon Sorbet ribbon and bow in the centre.

The Glory of Christmas challenge 56

This is my design card for the Glory of Christmas challenge 56: blue and silver. Please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and we would love to see your blue and silver Christmas designs.

The card blank is a deep blue stardream shimmery card, on to which I've matted silver and deep blue mirror card. The Inkadinkadoo angel stamp is one of my favourite Christmas ones - I inked it with versamark and stamped on to the piece of deep blue mirror card, heat embossing with detail silver powder. The matt silver embossed panel was made with a Craftwell embossing folder run through the eBosser. The little panel used for the Seasons Greetings sentiment was also from that A4 folder and backed with a snippet of blue mirror card that had been embossed with another folder (it was an old snippet and I can't remember which folder was used).

The background of this Easter card is an offcut from a 12 x 12 DCWV paper with the addition of an unknown topper (on pearlescent card, although that doesn't show here), the Dymo generated greeting and a wooden butterfly.

I used  Stitchy Bear's Digital Outlet 'little Siannie Christmas'  in colour (Stitchy Bear are one of the sponsors), digitally mounting the png image on to Bugaboo Stamps frosty white with red paper before printing. This was then matted on to red mirror card and on to a printed piece of the red frosty words paper, adding the sentiment panel and the lovely little Scottie dog from Hobbycraft.

For my card I used Bugaboo Stamps AKV too Wedding - cut cake (Bugaboo are sponsoring the challenge), colouring digitally using Microsoft Paint. For the background I used the left hand corner of a 12 x 12 paper by Carol Wilson that I've treasured for years - this is actually pastel pink with white embossing, although in the photo it looks white. The piece of paper backing the image is from Hot off the Press Jacie's vintage papers (I've had this book of papers for longer than I care to remember).

Completely Christmas challenge 57

This is my design card for Completely Christmas challenge 57: anything goes with a twist ... black and white. Please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and we would love you to join in our challenge with your black and white entries.

I used Sassy Studios 'snow queen portrait' (Sassy Studios are sponsoring the challenge), a png image that I superimposed on to a piece of Bugaboo Stamps digital paper, layering a strip of another Bugaboo paper, changing them back black and white, adding the text and then printing. I then wrapped a piece of Crafty ribbons snowflake grosgrain ribbon around it and layered on to a black card blank, added a couple of white organza 'flowers' (more like pom-poms really - not sure what you'd call them - lol!).  I lightly coloured the snow queen's hair using a soft colouring pencil.(a water colour pencil, but I didn't add water!).

I used papers from the Dovecraft's Cupcake Boutique (not from the pack that is being given away - that is unopened!), stamping directly on to the peach patterned paper, heat embossing with detail black powder, and masking to include three different Kanban cupcake stamps. I coloured with spectrum noir pens.

So this is my design card using Lacy Sunshine's Gemma's Spring Flower Love andBuckwell Crafts checkout papers. I coloured the image with spectrum noir pens and die cut using one of the Spellbinders marvelous squares, using the same die to cut round the pink Buckwells paper. I used the smallest marvelous squares die (not used this before) cut and embossed for a couple of corners and added a few gems.

CHNC challenge extra for April

This is my card for my CHNC challenge extra for April. For my card I used Bugaboo Stamps Raggey Angel - Lay on Star which I coloured digitally in Microsoft Paint - Bugaboo are always sponsors of my CHNC challenge extras - I am so grateful to them. The background was created by printing a digital paper found on the internet. The poinsettia flowers mounted on kraft were from Poundland. Corrugated strip and gold foil strips from stash.
