CHNC challenge 341

This is my card for my CHNC challenge 341 - please click on the link to see what it's all about and I hope you will join in with the challenge - it makes sense to get on with Christmas creations while there is plenty of time to enjoy doing so without any panic ... and we are now getting well into July ... definitely nearer to Christmas 2017 than 2016.

The optional theme for CHNC challenge 341 is 'snowflakes'... but anything  goes as long as it's Christmas.

For my card I stamped the background randomly using a favourite inkadinkadoo stamp inked with versamark and heat embossed with detail silver powder. The centre 'snowflake' is actually a foiled doily with a couple of the points cut off, using a todo letterpress and hot foil plate. I really wanted to put a sentiment circle in the middle, but hadn't got anything suitable and time was short to make something new, so I found an embossed circle that fitted perfectly and used that.

Penny's challenge 336

This is my design card for Penny's challenge 336, where the theme is anything goes. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs by the rest of the team and we hope you will join in with your entries.

I used elements from Digistamps4joy's gardening set of images kindly supplied by them as sponsors of the challenge. Ass the images were pgn I was able to add them on to a wheelbarrow garden scene, print and then colour with spectrum noir pens before mounting on a piece of Hunkydory card and adding some ribbon and the Kanban sentiment oval.

I used one of my favourite Penny Black stamps called sparklers, inked with memento grape jelly, using the same ink arrange all paper edges. The sentiment stamp was from Hobbycraft.

CHNC challenges

This is my card for my CHNC challenge extra for July 2017. Now is an ideal time to start making your Christmas designs if you haven't yet started.

The foiled background paper was a magazine freebie. The image is a retired Bugaboo Stamps one called AKV girl xmas tree - Bugaboo Stamps kindly sponsor our CHNC challenge extra every month - another reason to click on the challenge link to find out what's on offer for the randomly selected winner.

I backed the image with a red and gold foiled piece of card - been in my offcuts box for ages, as had the strips used on the left and across the bottom. Washi tape was then added to these.

I'm also showing this card for my CHNC challenge 340 where the optional theme is to use some washi tape. I hope you will also be able to join in this challenge ... and don't worry if you don't want to use washi tape ... it is purely optional ... anything goes as long as it's Christmas.

Fireworks!

This is a commissioned card that was made for a friend's son - his birthday was 5 November, hence the phrase that she wanted put on the card. She asked for a 'fireworks' theme. I found the digital image of the rockets online (free download) and used various fine glitters with a quickie glue pen to accentuate the fireworks. My friend's son is really into technology, so I combined the firework theme with a computer screen. Although the card was made for 5 November last year, I hadn't blogged it before now.

CHNC challenge 338

This is my card for my CHNC challenge 338 - please click on the link to see what it's all about and I hope you will join in with the challenge - it makes sense to get on with Christmas creations while there is plenty of time to enjoy doing so without any panic ... and we're halfway towards Christmas 2017 already ... scary!

The optional theme for CHNC challenge 338 is to use some silver ... but anything  goes as long as it's Christmas.

For my card I used an A5 card blank tent style. I used Hunkydory background card and coordinating topper, a 3D sparkly silver and white snowflake from The Works and a sentiment from stash. The strips of blue and white were offcuts from the edge of a previous card that I made for my CHNC challenge extra mid-month June inspiration, which I will show beneath this one.

Love to craft June challenge mid-month inspiration

This was a commissioned card for a daughter to send to her mother - I was asked to include some fasion shoes/handbags. The background paper is The English Paper company and the topper is from a Kanban kit. The shoe is 'high heel glam' from Typically Tattered Lace USB 3 cut on my Scan n Cut with pearlescent silver card and the 'mini handbag' was cut from the same USB  with a piece of purple pearlescent card. Flowers by Hobby house.

Penny's challenge 333: quick and easy

This is my design card for Penny's challenge 333, where the theme is 'quick and easy'. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs by the rest of the team and we hope you will join in with your entries.

I used the lovely coloured image Delicious Doodles hydrangea and butterfly frame, kindly provided by them as sponsor of the challenge. I coloured with spectrum noir pens, including the light lilac middle which doesn't really show well on the photo.

The double sided background paper with the corners turned down is some that came with a Tattered Lace magazine.

Gems were added and the silver peel off greeting.
