CHNC challenge 372

This is my card for my  CHNC challenge 372 - please click on the link to see the lovely designs of the rest of my team and find out what it's all about and I hope you'll be able to join in with your Christmas designs - anything goes as long as it's Christmas with the optional theme of 'cute'.

The background of my card is an offcut from some embossed blue mirror card using the lovely Embossalicious star of wonder embossing folder. The topper is a lovely cute one from Elisabeth Bell, matted on to a square of matt silver (cut on the Scan n cut so that it's perfectly square - my guillotined efforts aren't always - lol!).

Happy Christmas deer

Last month I posted a card here for my design for CCAYR January challenge. The card I'm showing now was made at the same time - looks just like it, but actually a different card (can tell that by comparing the background paper), this time with a Happy  Christmas sentiment added.

The background is from a pack of Christmas cards purchased from The Works. Everything else, including the beautiful deer raised up with 3D foam were from an old Kanban kit.

Lots of candles for a 40th birthday

This card was made for Steve's 40th birthday in November, but wasn't blogged then. I've got several pictures of cards saved ... and just haven't had time to do anything with them, so thought I'd have a bit of a session of showing some.

Back to this card ... I used three different Kanban silver foiled sentiment cards for the background (this was an 8 x 8 card) using a silver strip between them.

I stamped on to some Birthday sentiment card (again from Kanban), using a much-loved Docrafts candles stamp (partly stamped twice to make it up to 40) and the Happy Birthday, both inked with memento Paris dusk. Candles were coloured with spectrum noir pens. Other bits and pieces were from Kanban kits.

This is a simple card I made some time ago for a male birthday, using papers and topper (with the word 'cousin' obliterated digitally before printing) taken from a Minions album purchased in Poundland (worth buying for the papers inside).

New life to older card

Having made and blogged a card here in November 2016, I added to it in March for Jorgie's birthday (no idea why I've left it so long to blog ... will soon be time to make one for her 6th birthday next month).

I added a crown sticker on to the original image, the fairy and teddy and, of course, the letters to make it personal for Jorgie.

Baby shower

This is a commissioned card made this morning, using some background K and Co paper from long ago (a lingering offcut originally from a 12 x 12 'cuddly friends', with an offcut of striped card and the offcut of DCWV green baby sentiment paper. The greeting was generated on computer and printed. The teddy, bow, hearts etc from stash, including the matching pieces from K & Co. The sex of the baby is unknown, so colours had to be appropriate for either boy or girl.

Penny's challenge 366

This is my design card for Penny's challenge 366 - please click on the link to see the lovely crafting by the rest of the team and we hope you will join in our 'anything goes' challenge.

I used the lovely Bouquet for you my friend image from Imagine that, part of a set - they are one of the sponsors of the challenge.

I downloaded the lovely free background paper from here and placed the image digitally on this, printed out and wrapped with the eyelash trim, with the two sentiment pieces. This was then matted on to a white card blank.

For a fashionable sister

This was a commissioned card for a sister who loves fashion - I was asked to use some turquoise too. For this 8 x 8 cardI used some Hunkydory background card and various pieces decoupaged from a kit bought long ago (not Hunkydory, can't remember the origin). The croched pieces and the little birds were from The Works.

The whole orchestra!

Another commissioned musical card, this time featuring a lot of instruments, simply printed and finished off with the birthday greeting panel and the letters, using an A5 card blank. The base of the inside was lined with some Kanban music card, with a little pop up added in the middle.

Let's craft and create challenge 134

The background papers are from Kanban words for her pack and the inner paper is an offcut of Nitwit butterfly kisses patchwork. The 3D floral and butterfly stickers were from Hobbycraft  with hearts and 'for a special mum' from stash. I managed after a couple of attempts to print 'On Mothering Sunday' on a piece of offcut from the background paper, backed with silver mirror card, which, unfortunately looks black in any photo I've attempted to get.

For my card I used one of Lozzy's thistle papers - you can see Lozzy's lovely papers here - so many delightful papers - and you have the chance to win some by entering the challenge.

I added a 'twinchie'  that I made some years ago (took part in a swap and kept one for myself), using the beautiful Hero Arts gracious lady stamp. The tag was from another swap years ago, when I made one to keep for myself, using various elements including the embossed swirls and spots. I've added some gorgeous flowers that I received from Lozzy some time back.

I added the two sentiments raised up with foam. The embroidered rose in the middle was one that was made by Craftybren who used to sponsor my CHNC weekly challenges and kindly sent me some embroidered embellishments that I'm still using. Flowers from stash, including the lovely little roses in the centres.
