For a football fan

A recent commission asking for a card for a young man who loves football. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the Happy Birthday cut out of the card blank, putting a red piece of paper inside the card to show through. The paper with the footballer was from Paper Cellar Men 2 papers and I used a football sticker to put over the one in the picture. I then added the letters and the England footballer strip. It's an 8 x 8 card which gave room to cut with the punch and still have room to put everything else, while keeping some white space.

For a twin sister

This was a special commission during lockdown for a lady who was approaching her 90th birthday and wouldn't be able to meet up with her twin sister, so I was asked to make a special card. I used Hunkydory supplies. On the front, I printed out the sentiment and, as it was on card that has a bit of a gloss, there was time to put silver detail powder on it and heat emboss. This was then cut and embossed with a Spellbinder's oval die, using the next one up to mat on to with 3D tape. To the circle of decoupaged flowers I added the crocheted butterflies.

I was asked to put the message inside: Haven't we done well to get here? Once again I heat embossed with detail silver, embossing and cutting the sentiments using the Spellbinders dies.

Showing back on the left with decoupaged flowers and another crocheted butterfly:

I was told that the lady sending the card and the recipient were thrilled with it.

Coming up roses

A card made recently for a friend, using a piece of Hunkydory card for the background and adding other bits, including the paper roses (it didn't have to be posted, so they wouldn't get squashed). The little buckle with the ribbon had been in my stash for some time ... not a clue where it came from. With the addition of the sentiments and butterflies the card was finished.

Especially for my son ...

... not my son, but commissioned to make this card a while ago - I was asked to include something to indicate his love of music, particularly guitar, his love of gardening, hence the wheelbarrow and the fact that he supports Chelsea football club, hence the little strip. The background sentiment paper was from Kanban, matted on to grey and white dotted card by Hunkydory. The sentiment banner was also from Kanban.

For a special friend

I made this to give to a friend a couple of weeks ago, using papers from the DCWV Mariposa stack, the lovely flower and butterfly borders from Papermania - taking pieces of the left overs and sticking individually, with the Friend sentiment from Kanban and the Dovecraft Birthday sentiment.
