Have a spud-tacular birthday

I made this card yesterday - commissioned to be given to a son who is a gardener. I used papers and other pieces from the Kanban allotment collection. The background for the front of the side opening A5 card is a piece of the grey wood effect paper with an overlay of vellum with secateurs and little garden forks. I was able to secure the vellum well, with sticking the toppers over it and the little fences, potted plant and the cut out wellies. The little circle at the top says 'Just for you Son'.

Inside, using more papers from the it and the plants and fences etc.

New home

I didn't blog anything yesterday ... a busy day with other things that needed to be done, including giving a lot of thought and planning for this card.

I was commissioned to make a new home card, asking me to include a garden with a pond and a cat. I used a picture of a garden for the background, digitally adding the clipart pond, fading the edges to blend in with the garden. I flipped it so that the cat could be facing the pond. The sentiment was generated on computer and printed. I printed out the picture twice so that I could cut some of the little rocks and raise them with 3D foam and added gems here and there, including on the bow around the cat's neck.

Simply snowflakes

When I went to the NEC craft show last year I bought s pack of Tonic dies 'Starry starry night, simply screens die set', but confess that, until now, I hadn't used them. So I've been playing with the snowflakes one, die cutting directly into a DL sideways opening card blank and then adding a piece of pearlecent card behind the cut, lightly using very small amounts of Dawn Bibby's quick stick glue on parts of the snowflakes, keeping the card simple by just adding the sentiment.

Trying to show the pearlescent card better:

Peace on earth

I started this card a few days ago, cutting the Peace on Earth and Holy Night with edge-ables dies from Crafter's Companion ... and then I wasn't sure what I could add to it.

Yesterday I had a delivery of some dies from CC was this Christmas Scene, part of the Nature's Garden collection, The bauble scene was cur using four dies, mounting the three circle ones together and then topping them with the bow. I used three different silvers - the inner one is holographic, the next is mirror card and the outer one is matt silver. I know that the wise men cut with the mirror card look dark here, but otherwise I got the reflection of me - lol!!

Food, glorious food

I was commissioned to make this card for a young trainee chef who loves food. I cut up lots of pictures from a freebie recipe book and made a collage, adding the clipart chef's hat that I prepared digitally with Joe's name and also the Birthday sentiment.

Merry Christmas with love

Oh holy night

Two similar Christmas cards recently made with papers from Echo Park's Wise Men still seek him paper pad, including the pieces cut for the sentiments. The topper on the first one is upcycled from a card received - it is gold foiled.

I'd love to be able to buy another of the Echo Park's paper pad, but can't find anyone in the UK who sells it ... I must google again.
