Pretty in pink

The embossed card blank is one I've had for a long time, pieces of ribbon with gems from Poundland, an offcut piece of Hunkydory card with music and flowers, Craftime flowers and a sentiment which has a silver boarder (not black as it looks in the photo).

Simple card with a couple of sentiment stamps (top one from Hobby craft, bottom one is Inca) , the Hobby art 'dove and cross' stamp and a couple of felt flowers. The card is white, of course, although it's so hard to get a photo that doesn't look grey!

Springing into spring

When I saw this week's challenge for Daring cardmakers 'springing into spring' I remembered that I had some spring elements on springs that I bought long ago from Poundland, so I've dug them out for this simply card. Papers are from a Springtime collection paper pack that came with a magazine, tearing the grass and daisies paper and writing the wording freehand. I wish spring would hurry up because atm it's still like winter and there's even some snow forecast for the early hours of tomorrow morning - brrr.

Spring roses

A while ago I bought a Hunkydory kit (good to have some of these to make quick cards for charity sales) and had some shapes that were meant to be able to be made into cards as per instructions, but I decided to use them differently, so here is one element matted on to a card blank that had been covered with a crackle look shimmery paper - bit of a leather look. The two ovals were meant to be used with other components, but I prefer to 'do my own thing' with them.

This is a card that would be suitable for a wedding, an anniversary or even a special anniversary, such as a golden - could add 50.

The embossed strip was created with the folder that came with my eBosser - the white paper is pearlescent, which doesn't show up here and the card blank has a bit of a golden sheen to it. Everything else taken from stash including the Craftime flowers.

Another Diamond Wedding card

Another diamond wedding anniversary card - this time using some silver and black diamond card as the background with a wide strip of matt silver card down the left side, with a  holographic silver die cut church (made it very difficult to get a photo). The addition of a Craftwork cards sentiment and Craftime white and silver flowers and the card was done. Numbers 60 were added after the photo. I wasn't sure whether this one was wanted so I didn't put it on till I knew - this card could have equally been used for a silver wedding anniversary.

Diamond Wedding Anniversary

A couple of weeks ago I was asked to make two or three Diamond Wedding Anniversary cards (wow! 60 years of marriage), so this is one that I made. I remembered that a few years ago I bought some pearlisted card with large embossed diamonds, so that seemed just right for the background. The organza ribbon with gems is from Hobby Craft. The sentiments and the glittered white die cut of the wedding couple have been in my stash for ages. So this was an opportunity to bring some older supplies into play.

I actually added '60' in silver to the right hand corner, but had already taken the photo before that and the card has now gone, so too late to update.
