Cheeky little Santas for CCAYR January challenge

The couple of batches of little cards shown here, featuring cheeky little Santas, are my second design sample for CCAYR January challenge which is 'anything goes' (Christmas, of course!). These are aperture cards, using an inner frame for the top and bottom 5 cards. As for the delightful little Santas, they had been hiding inside my Christmas box for far too long!

CCAYR January challenge

This is my first design for Christmas Cards All Year Round January challenge which is 'anything goes' (Christmas, of course!). Please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and we would love to see your entries.

I wanted to make my mum's Christmas present look a little bit special for her, so I altered a gold box by covering top and bottom with some sparkly wrapping paper. I made a simple matching tag, using some of the paper and also some poinsettias from Hobbycraft, adding a couple to the corner of the present, securing the box with some red stretch cord and a pull bow.

Buckwells craft challenge January

So this is my card, not only using the image from Joanne, coloured with spectrum noir pens, but Veletta textured ivory 25 mm kindly supplied by Buckwell's- you seriously need some of this and it's only £1 for a 3m length! I kept the card simple with just the addition of some Bazill Basics pleated card and the sentiment banner - and I couldn't resist adding a little bow to baby's head.

This is my second design card for my Patterned Paper January 2015 challenge using a couple of pieces of paper that I found in one of my offcuts box - yes, I left a border around the pale pink patterned paper, as a bit of a border is permitted. Flowers are from Hobbycraft, the kraft bows with tiny buttons were from Poundland and I've had the oval topper and sentiment panel for years (it's about time they were used!).

Birthday shopping spree

This is my first design card for my Patterned Paper January 2015 challenge, using a very old piece of DCWV 6 x 6 background paper on to which I've simply put a tag that I made ages ago and never used. The image is from the 'girl about town' digital set by Charmed cards and crafts.

CHNC challenge extra for January 2015

For my design card for CHNC challenge extra for January, I used Bugaboo Stamps Christmas words - Noel, kindly supplied by the challenge sponsor, colouring with spectrum noir pens and adding some gold Art Institute glitter to the snowflake. The delightful little characters along with bottom are part of a set that I've had for ages. Papers are from a Wild Rose Studio pack.

Bugaboo 5th Birthday Bash!

So, Bugaboo is about ready to turn 5 years old this January - Can you believe it?

For my CHNC challenge 208 I'm asking to see whatever is still urgently need for Christmas.

Pansies and pearls for Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 60

This is my design card for today's Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 60: anything goes with a twist ... pearls. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs of the rest of the team and we would love to see your creations with pearls.

I used the lovely Sparkle n sprinkle pansy ring, kindly given by the sponsor, colouring with Spectrum noir pens and adding some 3D glittered Poundland posies over the top of three of those in the image. I then added the pearls into the centres of all of the pansies, colouring the white pearls with spectrum pens to match the pansies.

The sentiment is a textured Creata rub on.

Similar to the previous card, the framed picture is one that I've had for ages from a Kanban kit - the picture is repeated on the domed acetate which makes it look a bit 3D in real life. I edged around the frame and the shaped card with a gold pen.

I randomly stamped the shaped card with inked a couple of snowflake stamps from an Inkadinkado set with versamark and heat embossed with gold detail powder.
