For a wonderful daughter

This was a commissioned 8 x 8 card using some lovely layered Paper Boutique papers matted on to Hunkydory pieces of card, flowers from Hobbycraft and other bits and pieces including the silver spiralled flowers made out of something like wired netting, from The Works.

Theatrical wedding day card

Some time ago I was asked to make this card to congratulate the people getting married ... in the form of a theatre play with the curtain. It so happened that a few years ago I had done a similar card and I still had the template for making the curtain. I used flock velvety paper (which had an adhesive backing), printing and going over the lines with a black pen and fussy cutting out the curtain. The inside of the curtain was another piece of the flock paper, which was printed on. The easel card was then made from Hunkydory card, Hobbycraft flowers, hearts etc and the rows of gems to act as the stopper. 

I had never got round to blogging it and thought it's about time I did - lol - as it's a year ago ... where has that time gone?!?!

Snippets cards

All of these cards were made with the fronts of ready designed card blanks as  the background on white card blanks and then other ones cut down to mat on to these. Snippets has been used on every card to use up the pieces. I'm so pleased to be in the Pixie's Snippets playground 385 again. Other bits and pieces added from stash, including the lovely paper bows and wood flowers and birds.

A while ago I was commissioned to make this card, with the info that she liked food, drink and ogs.. The background was made into a border digitally, adding the food and drink and wording, printed out and matted on to an A5 card, with the addition of the flowers.

This 8 x 8 card was commissioned for a friend's birthday. All papers, including inside are from  the DCWV Mariposa stack, a beautiful collection that is almost too lovely to use (but there is still some left). I added some flowers raised up with 3D foam, crocheted butterflies (I didn't crochet them, but bought them like it), the birthday circle from an old kit and a bow upcycled from a piece of ribbon that I think had been with some flowers.

Engagement

This was a commissioned card to celebrate an engagement. I was asked to include bags of shopping,, so found this picture of the bags in the boot of a car. I created the crossword digitally and printed out, adding the glittered washi strips at the sides and the puffy hearts.

Sapphire anniversary

This was a commissioned card for a couple's 45th wedding anniversary, hence the background of the front of the card was made with blue mirror embossed with an embossing folder and fut off at the end to add a border made with a Martha Stewart punch, with a striped piece of Hot off the press paper to cover the join. I put some mirror card inside so it showed through the gaps in the punched border. The lovely delicate hearts with pearls and the numerals and letters were added and two embroidered bows.
