WOYWW 127

It's Wednesday again, so that means it's WOYWW over on Julia's blog - if you don't know what I'm on about, pop over and find out and join in the fun (and noseyness - lol!).

My mum will be 90 on 29 November, so I need to get a move on and make sure I've done her card in plenty of time. But I also want to put together a scrapbook for her - this is long overdo - ages ago I bought a whole load of photos from mum in order to put together a book for her ... and she's still waiting for it!

I admit that I'm taking the cheat's route because time is ticking by so quickly and also this room and our bedroom are going to be decorated either next week or the week after, which will mean me moving some of my craft stuff and I won't be able to get to the rest for a few days.

So I bought an Anna Griffin Heritage scrapbook it from QVC - it has pages ready embellished to add photos to. But I've also got papers and 3D stickers that coordinate so that I can make other pages to add in.

All I need to do now is to get the photos out and start! I've just realised that it's now less than 3 weeks to mum's birthday - HELP!!!

  1. I’m doing a quick dash round as many desks as I can in my coffee break [yes I do allow myself a coffee break :-) ] to see what everyone's been up to. So much fab creativity going on everywhere I go. It’s really brilliant.
Keep doing what you do best and have a great week

  5. Hi Hazel
What a lovely scrapbooking kit you bought form QVC.I hardly watch QVC. I have seen some stuff for crafting on their website but do not take much notice of it there. It will make a really great present for your Mum.

  19. There is no unwritten Law of Crafting that says everything HAS to be made from scratch!! I would have done exactly the same thing and helped the process on a little! Your mum will love anything you do, won't she? So it's win-win all around :)

  22. It is not cheating when you take the time and trouble to find such a beautiful album to fill. I am sure your Mum will love it and that is the important thing. Thank you so much for your visit, and you are right, I will be tempted into using my new baby. I can justify it though, I need pretty frames for my stained glass toppers. That is my excuse and I am sticking to it - like glue!

  24. That sure is a lovely album, and it will be completed in time. Try getting some extra long candles to burn!!
As for my desk, it will not stay clean long as I have an idea for a project which will involve glitter hence why I wanted the deck cleared first!!

  35. You’re not cheating at all Hazel and your mum is going to be so thrilled with the scrapbook when you give it to here.
I sometime wish I had gone down the same route of pre embellished pages when I’m sitting here staring blankly at the page I’m about to do.
I really look forward to seeing some of your finished pages.
I hope you and John are doing ok.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and ……..
    Happy Crafting!

  36. Hi Hazel, isn't that a coincidence, I share your mum's birthday - 64 this year - and yes, only 18 days left. I love the kit you've got to make the album with, your mum will just love the vintage theme. Look forward to seeing the finished project. I suspect you will be working on it over the weekend so happy crafting, Elizabeth x #76

Hope you manage to get yours done - just set half a day aside - you already have the pictures - and crack on with it. You will be amazed how quickly you get it done.
