It's Wednesday again and time to show what's on my workspace - this is for Julia's WOYWW 138 - click on the link to see what it's all about and to have a nosey at other people's craft areas ... and perhaps join in the fun!
Last week, Julia commented that she didn't realise how much I had in my 12 x 12 paper rack - well, actually, the photo I showed then didn't show the full height of it. It used to be 10 trays tall, but last year I added another 5, so it is quite a bit taller (and I have to confess that I also have some 12 x 12 in a shelf in my bedroom wardrobe).
This is the area to the left of where I sit. You can see some cards that I made yesterday (they are further down on my blog), some BG paper pads, stamps etc that need to be put away.
And to the right of where I sit there are a few bits waiting to be used - a chipboard dinosaur waiting for inspiration to strike, a print out of a digi to make a get well card (sorry to hear that you are under the weather - hope to make that one today), a flower that was made with chipboard and UTEE with a stamp pressed in while it was still molten ... and a few other bits and pieces.
And I still have a nice space to work in even if I don't manage to put the other things away. Do you see the tall tin with my brushes, rulers etc - I got a half price tin of shortbread biscuits the other day - I didn't eat the biscuits though because I'm trying to be good and get rid of the weight that I've put on over Christmas.
Oh - and the box on the floor houses lots of Christmas stash and it also acts as a nice little footstool!

I love that paper rack and I also love that it makes me feel less guilty about my own paper addiction. I have about half of that rack, so in my opinion I can just keep buying, haha.
ReplyDeleteHazel you are the most prolific crafter I have met in blogland, but I see you have a lovely and well-organised space to work in and that helps. I love the stack of 12"x12" papers. That is the size I like to use for scrapbooks. Last year my husband bought me a shelf set full of large 'Really useful' boxes to store mine in, as all the corners were getting dog-eared (actually cat-eared). I also like your sorted copics. I have half the colours and hope to buy the other half next month, so I may find a similar system for mine. Kate x

ReplyDeleteYou’re just so organised Hazel.
ReplyDeleteI would love something like that to store my papers in because I think that if they were out on show I would be more likely use them up before I go and buy more.
Happy Crafting!

ReplyDeleteMy dear Hazel,
ReplyDeleteYou just confirmed for me that indeed if I see 12 x 12 paper that I like I should purchase it! haaa. I finished organizing my sheets but now the plastic containers are too tall for the shelf that I was using, soooo, have to shuffle things around a bit. Does it never end!!!
Your cards are so cute!

For the amount of goodies on your desk, and all the cards you do, your desk is really quite neat and organized! And you can even see what's underneath your desk. I don't do quite as well, i am afraid. Underneath my desk is like a black hole! Patsy from
