WOYWW 143

Update since writing the post below: We've been back to the hospital - John does not have a DVT - it's just the after effects of the cellulitis he had recently - such a relief!

I know that most visitors to my blog for WOYWW think that I'm always neat and tidy because I do tend to clear up quite often and put things away between crafting sessions.

Well, today (officially 'yesterday' now) turned out different to what was expected and we spent most of it at hospital with John having a suspected DVT in his leg.

So I came back home this evening to the state of how things had been left from crafting yesterday - I've been trying to make as many cards as possible, particularly Easter ones, ready to sell at church on Friday evening. Rather than tidy up and start again I went on this evening to make a couple of cards and add to the mess.

So here is my craft space with things all over the place:

Last week I started out with good intentions, visiting other WOYWWers, but I'm afraid that life with all it's ups and downs got in the way, not to mention the need to get lots of cards made ... so I didn't get to visit many blogs in the end. I'm not sure how well I'll do this week as John's got to go back to hospital tomorrow or the next day and I need to make up for lost time today (yesterday!) and make more cards for Friday evening. But I'll visit as many as I can. And a big THANK YOU to everyone who visits me and leaves comments - it is very much appreciated.

  6. Yeah! great mess but so sorry to hear about DH. At least they can look after it and sort it... he'll be ok , don't worry. My DH had some in his lung after his hip op, and it was a close shave but with treatment he is fine.

  17. i hope John will be all fine as soon as possible. my sister had DVT and yes, we were very concerned. with all that happening, it's no wonder you haven't been able to visit a lot. even with the ordinary days, it's already a challenge to visit the many desks and still have time to craft!
happy WOYWW, and thanks for sharing!

  18. That must have been really scary. I know that is my biggest worry when i have my pending surgery, as I am overweight.

I think you should just get cracking on with your cards and not worry about leaving the comments right now.

People now know your schedule and we want you to be able to make as many as possible before Friday.
    See you next week.

  26. Gosh Hazel, hope John isn't in too much discomfort, ow ow and so glad they're keeping an eye, even if does mean hours spent waiting in corridors, ugh! To be honest, I took a look at your desk and thought 'that's more like it' and then immediately knew that something wasn't quite right for you; you may pull it all out, but you're known for being a put-it-away gal too! I hope the Church sales isn't putting you under too much pressure.

  49. Hazel, I'm glad to hear John doesn't have a DVT, which could have been very serious indeed. You must both be mightily relieved! Hope they sort out what the problem is, though.

Your desk looks great! You've got auch a lovely organised room with all the lovely shelves and things. One day I shall get mine straight, but it will probably have to wait till we move house!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Glad you like my stencils - I'm about to cut the 1/4-in circles one - I've been having some problems with them but the Black Cat forum people are absolutely brilliant for helping out!

Hopefully I'll have something on the choccie box insert to post next week!
