I received my Papercraft Inspirations magazine through the post today (I keep meaning to cancel the subscription, but never seem to getting round to doing it) - anyway, there was a 'free' chipboard tree, twine and some stickers with gems with it and I thought I would use them rather than put them away forever.
So this is a card for Always playing with paper merry Monday sketch 30:
I used snippets from my Christmas offcuts box, so this is another card for Pixie's crafty snippets 35.
The red glittered panel on the left is a piece left over from a Christmas cracker a couple of seasons ago, so this is for Little red wagon 147: upcycle, also Our creative corner: recycle it with a pop of green (twine around the branches).
This is also for:
Crafty creations 184: gems and twine
The crafty pad 185: twine
Alota 89: tree challenge
Creative card crew 18: Christmas
Willow sketchie: Christmas in August
Challenge up your life 76: Christmas in summer
Just keep on creating: Christmas is around the corner

Oh, nice! I have quantities of magazine freebies, I always put them away thinking 'one day I'll use them.' But I really should follow your example and use them straight away!! Your Christmas card is just classic! Love it!

Hazel, how wonderful! I loved that you still had something from a couple seasons ago to recycle..that's terrific that you've held on to items that you know some day will have crafty potential. As Sue said, the green pop of twine gives even greater texture and visual to your beautiful tree. Nicely done.
