It's Wednesday and that means it's time for WOYWW 171 (click on the link and have a look if you don't know what I'm talking about.
I've been quiet on my blog this week because we are taking a break in Eastbourne (pity that I've been quite unwell here, but, hey ho, that's life - seemed to develop an allergic reaction to a cleaning spray that was being used in our hotel suite).
Anyway, until today I hadn't done any crafting, although I did bring some with me just in case we have poor weather and stay in. The weather has been excellent for September, but today has been cooler and we've even had a shower or two, which we managed to avoid.
So I got out the Kanban kit that I bought with me (a freebie for club members on Create & Craft that arrived just in time to bring with me) and made a few quick cards - nothing elaborate because of lack of other supplies - so there is a little pile of six cards that might get blogged if I feel like it!
Today I visited That Craft Place in Eastbourne and bought a few crafty bits that you can see in the photo (going back again before we go home because John said I could have spent more) - some masks, stamps and papers.
Apologies that I doubt I'll be able to visit others this week.

Oh how maddening to go on holiday and have an allergic reaction! I'm sure the best cure is to go to the craft shop and SPEND!! (Your Young Man sounds like a real treasure, encouraging you to go back to the craft shop! )
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing your Kanban cards! *hugs*
love Mags B x
I like your stamps, and that pretty paper!

I'm sorry you've had rotten luck with an allergic reaction, Hazel. Such a bummer. But nothing stops you, my goodness! Great cards, and fab purchases! Have fun at the return trip!
ReplyDeleteOh bad luck Hazel, I do hope you're feeling better day by day...trouble with that sort of reaction is that you need to be out of the room and so you spend a day out and then go through it all again when you get back, poor you. I love the purchases you made...that top stamp is just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better now, nothing worse than getting ill on your holidays. Looks like you had fun buying all those goodies.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your holiday.

How annoying to be unwell on your holidays - I should know - my husband got knocked down crossing the road before we even got to our destination a few years ago, then spent a week in hospital in Scotland, before being transferred back to NIreland by ambulance! Hope you feel much better soon and get to enjoy the rest of your trip. I like the look of that pad of paper you bought!

I just hate being sick on the holidays, especially over something you had no control over, like cleaning spray. I'm suffering a headache from some grill mishap at the restaurant I had lunch at. I have no idea what happened, but there was a large sizzling sounds and steam came wafting out. You have some nice new stuff to play with now.
ReplyDeleteGreat haul Hazel. I'm looking forward to seeing what you create with this

I hope you feel better soon. I'm glad you got a vacation. Now I know why I haven't seen you in a while.
