Have a wheelie good day ...
... that was what I nearly printed on this card, but in the end I decided to leave it as it is.
This was prompted by the June colour combo this week on Daring cardmakers:
And also by the 'direct to paper' CCEE 1323 challenge, where a link is given to tutorials here. I chose the first of the three suggestions, using distress ink pads to swipe across the card, using these colours: antique linen, mustard seed, bundled sage, peacock feathers and worn lipstick. Because I'm impatient at waiting for inks to dry I blotted with some kitchen towel and I like the effect that gave.
This wasn't my first attempt - having found it difficult to swipe at the same height across the card, I used masking tape to make it far easier.
The bicycle is a little Papermania stamp and the travel stamp is by Debbi Moore, both inked with memento tuxedo black.

Busy as ever I see! This one looks fab, the ink swiping is really effective!
ReplyDeleteOooooh, I like this one! The in swiping looks very interesting. I haven't tried this technique but I guess I'll have to. And I like the otherwise clean and simple style, too. Thank you for playing along with the Daring Cardmakers!
ReplyDeleteCool colours Hazel!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much
