This card was going to be for The Glory of Christmas challenge 17, I've used the lovely Papermania Bauble Decoration stamp.
When I stamped the image for the first card the sentiment 'Christmas Cheer' lost a bit of the 'Cheer' on the bottom edge! I didn't want to waste this so I decided to separately stamp the sentiment and mount it on to silver mirror card to match the piece surrounding the image. Everything was inked with versamark and heat embossed with detail silver powder. A couple of strips of glittery silver on the left finished the card off. This is an A5 landscape card - the image is quite large, so needs a large card blank.
This is also for:
Amusing challenges (stamped blessings): anything goes
Tuesday throwdown 166: clean and simple
Addicted to stamps and more 64: CAS
Brown sugar 61: black & bling
Bloggers challenge: bling it on
Pink gem 99: use black on your card
Crimbo crackers 51: embossing
Sparkle n sprinkle September: anything goes with glitter, embossing powder and/or flocking
Divas by design: monochrome
That was a great resue...You do a lot of stamping straight to card...I am always dutifully impressed.
ReplyDeleteI can not stamp straight for the life of me. I have a grid block for acrylics, I have a stamping thingy from Fizkars...still crooked...
So i do a lot of your save today...a separately stamped sentiment and then mount it! lol
Hazel, this card is so elegant. Love the image you used. Mistakes are just opportunities aren't they. Thanks for joining us at the Sparkle N Sprinkle Creative Challenge this month. Come back soon. Hugs, Barbara { personal blog - Art and Soul Creations}
ReplyDeleteGreat save. Don't you just hate it when you are almost finished with a card and goof? You pulled it off fine. Thanks for joining us at Tuesday Throwdown for this challenge.
