It was Sylvie's turn to choose the topic for the Christmas Card Club this fortnight and she wants to see trees. I have to confess that I meant my card to be up soon after midnight, but it wasn't to be. What I tried just didn't work and it didn't look any better in the cool light of day this morning.
We went to church this morning for the first time for five weeks (we were away for one Sunday and then I was ill) and we then had lunch out, so, after we got home, I got started on making another card. The background for this is a free background for iPads on the internet - I took out the trees that would have been behind the embossed one that I added because it wouldn't have shown up properly. I also changed the colour to be more green, but there is still a bluey tinge that I like.
I used a piece of white spotted vellum to emboss using the Cuttlebug Christmas tree embossing folder which I then brushed with bundled sage distress ink. The two smaller Christmas trees in the corner were die cut using the same spotty patterned vellum using two of the Die'sire spruce trees dies. Brads and gems added and the sentiment circle.
The card has a bit more dimension than can be seen on the photo.

Hazel, this one was very much worth the wait! I love the way you've used the vellum (something I don't often work with...it intimidates me!) Your trees are beautiful in the soft green/blue hue, and it's just a fantastic card. Saw a later post that I want to check out. Sorry I'm late in commenting. TFS & Hugs too.
