It was Mary's turn to choose the theme for this fortnight's CCC challenge and she asked us to include a cardinal or another winter bird.
For my card I've used Sparkle n sprinkle 'winter cardinal' colouring with spectrum noir pens.
I followed the sketch for Atlantic hearts 69:
I used a piece of My Mind's Eye 'snowed in' winter papers for the background and for the punched out snowflakes, overlaying a piece of Papermania 'at Christmas time' vellum - I was able to glue this underneath the image, the sentiment and the snowflakes to secure the vellum into place.
This is also for:

ReplyDeleteHazel, this is one of my very favorite of cardinal stamps. I was in the SnS store in Fla. last year. Margaret had a card sample, and I swooped on it, saying "I want THAT stamp". Well, it wasn't for sale just yet. She allowed us to go in the back where the stamps are made, and the lady at the machine made me a set! I promised not to use it publically until it's debut, but it is a lovely stamp to work with. You've used it so beautifully with the coloring and fussy cutting it. It's perfect against that lovely background paper. Thank you so much for interpreting my choice of the bird theme so wonderfully perfect as you did! TFS & Hugs
