WOYWW 277

I can't believe it - I started a post for this earlier today, came back to it when family had gone ... and I accidentally deleted it ...  couldn't even get a cache copy to rescue it because it hadn't actually been published ... first time I've done that!

Anyway, my brother and SIL came to have lunch with us and spend the afternoon -they went to get mum from the home so we all had the time together. Enjoy lunch and then went up to the summerhouse in the garden for a cuppa - took these just before they left:

The real reason I'm here for this post is for WOYWW 277 (if you don't know what this is, click the link, find out and join in ... be warned: you will become addicted!).

I thought I'd show what I bought at Ally Pally Big Stamp & Scrapbooking Show on Saturday (I won a ticket and managed to get there after quite a few years of not going). When I did the original post I went into a bit of detail about the items, but now I'm just going to show the picture (you're probably glad about that to save lots of reading). I've just remembered that I'd already put some stuff away - more distress ink pads to add to my collection and the new round applicator and pads that look like a better idea than the rectangular ones (we shall see).

The next picture shows what postie brought me. On top if a prize I won for a challenge and underneath is an envie full of ribbons - a little sneaky peek - sent for me to use some for my card for the first challenge on Buckwells crafty challenge blog which will start on 1 October. I am very privileged and excited to have been asked to be on the design team.

Thanks everyone who visited for last week's WOYWW and for your comments. For those interested in my progress with the Scan n Cut I made a couple of snowflake easel cards that you can see here.

Oh ... and I haven't got any further with sorting and putting my unmounted stamps into the wallets I showed last week ... it will be done ... some time!

  14. I delete mine in error often as I switch between iPad and PC (the idea was that learning two different computer systems would improve my mind, it confused it further). I love how you have all your markers organized. Some great wins and buys. Thanks for dropping by,

  24. I can't tell if those are stencils or embossing folders - but you do have lots of wonderful stuff! Deleting your whole post sounds like something I would do--seriously. And what a lovely visit you had today! So glad you got to see your mom, it's important. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #57

  25. Hi Hazel, thank you for visiting my page.
Those are lovely photos of you and your family. What a privilege to have our mother still. My mum is 90 and I try to go see her as often as i can but we live thousands of km apart so I only see her twice a year.
Ooo you got a nice bit of stash there. I love it when i have new stuff. Often it sits on my desk for days and i just look at it. Daft, I know!
I went to visit your other page to look at the snowflake easel card. Wow! What a beauty.
Thank you for letting me peep over your shoulder.

  26. There's nothing like new stash to lift the spirits, is there, Hazel! I've just treated myself and loved opening up the parcel!

Thanks for your comment - I'm afraid it really is a tip, despite your very kind words about it! Not much creating has been going on and it's turned into a dumping ground. Most of the tip is the new stash that needs sorting - stamps to mount, etc. Everything is in such a muddle and it's driving me nuts because I can't find anything!! I really do need to get to grips with it.

  32. Ohhhh yummy yummy post and shopping items. I haven't been to Ally Pally in some time. I should make a trip there as my aunt live not too far from there.

Also re the acrylic inks I would say that they wouldn't be suitable for the gelli plates as they are liquid ink and not like the tube acrylic and they dry too quickly - you could however mix them with acrylic paint extender (I've not tried this yet but it could be a way round it? Thanks for popping over to my blog.

Great family photos on there and your stash from the show looks great too. You're the second person I've visited today who's bought the round Tim Holtz ink tool so I'll be interested to hear how you find it.
