WOYWW 282

I missed taking part in WOYWW for a couple of weeks because we were having our carpets taken up and laminate flooring laid instead. All my boxes had to be moved out and then back again - I didn't even do any crafting for a week.

Anyway, I am gradually getting back to normal, but it's always a tussle between organising everything and getting necessary crafting done - quite a lot of design team stuff and also I have a sale for Tearfund here on 8 November (help ... that's soon!).

So here I am for WOYWW 282 - click the link and join in the fun!

This is what's to the left of where I sit - there are some cards I made last night, seven of them - broadband was down, so I had no distractions! And some other bits for potential cards.

On the other side, some more bits and pieces that might be used on future cards - and, no, there's no chocolate in the bag, just scraps of paper.

But the 'piece de la resistance' today is what was delivered this morning - I've just assembled them:

They are to replace this, which is a bit broken in parts, but will be moved up to the summerhouse so that when I craft up there in the summer I'll be able to house a few things.

This means I'll need to empty out all the little boxes stored in this and change things around to use the drawers in the new units. I'm planning on swapping some stuff from the boxes in my other units to put in the drawers. Oh, if only there was more time and no other things to do in life!!

When everything is sorted (ha ha!!) I'll show photos of the whole room. Atm you can see glimpses of the new flooring - much more practical than the carpet.

  1. You are going to be SO organized! Your new storage is bright and cheerful--very nice!

(All our carpet is torn up at the moment, but I'm in the process of painting the rooms before we get new.)

    Happy woyww to you, Hazel!

  2. Hi Hazel, lovely storage! And I so agree about the laminate- so much easier, especially in a craft room. No more clogging the vacuum with glitter, lol. We dumped all our carpets a few years ago now, best move ever. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #14 xxx

  5. I'd really like to dump our carpet for wood flooring too, but don't think it's going to happen for a while! So glad you're pleased with yours....and those drawers too, lovely new storage space all ready to be filled with stash :-)

  6. What an exciting week or two, Hazel. Trust your new flooring works really well for you. Those drawer units are amazing - and will take SO much stash - you will be able to go shopping again....
Trust the Tearfund sale goea well a week on Saturday. We have a table top sale for Parental Care Ministries this coming Saturday - I made the inevitable mistake of offering help.... and have been put in charge of the kitchen - we expect to serve at least 60 portions of soup and roll, plus numerous cups of tea or coffee, plus portions of homemade cake - until we drop! And we only stay open for two hours!!! However, we normally raise between £6-700 for the mission - so worth all the hard work.
Hope you get everything done in time for your sale.
    Take care. God bless.

  10. I love the new storage, and I know you'll be happy once the house settles back down - I love our hard floors, after years of vacuuming carpets. I hope you manage to get all the stuff ready for the sale, and that it goes really well. Hugs, Chris # 24
