This is my first design card for CCAYR mid-month inspiration, where the challenge is 'cute critters'. Please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and we would love to see your entries here.
I used a music embossing folder with a piece of DCWV card and gently sanded this to lighten the embossing a bit. I used a favourite Christmas Penny Black stamp, caroling penguins, colouring with spectrum noir pens and die cutting with a Nellie Snellen die, including the surrounding red mirror card.
This is also for:
Crafting by designs: get ready for Christmas
CRAFT 302: Christmas
Pile it on 60: use 3 of something (penguins)
Crimbo crackers 76: no printed paper
Come and get it: make your own background
The house that stamps built DCC311: diecuts and/or punches with stamping
Digistamps4Joy 110: embossing + red
Jingle belles: mission emboss-ible
Sunday stamper 349: and your bird can sing
Corrosive 220: our animal friends
Little red wagon 280: cute, cute, cute
Whoopsi Daisy March: add a sentiment
Aud sentiments 127: use a two word sentiment
Spectrum noir March (fb): use a sentiment
Red rubber 211: just a note
Craft for the craic 14: bingo - I used the diagonal: die cut, more than 2 layers, image
As you like it: favourite type of stamp and why - rubber - I love acrylic and digi as well, but there's nothing like holding, inking and using a rubber stamp on a wooden block
Creatalicious 73: anything goes
