Let's craft and create challenge 103


This is my design card for Let's craft and create challenge 103 where the theme is 'butterflies or birds'. Please click on the link to see the gorgeous creations of the rest of the team and we would love you to join in with your entries.

I started my card by painting on a piece of white card with Spectrum Noir aqua tints - a mixture of yellow and gold', spraying with water to take the colour away in places by pressing lightly with a piece of kitchen towel.

I stamped the PaperArtsy stamps from sets HP1007 and 1104 inked with memento tuxedo black.  I then used some distress ink pads direct to the card to give a sort of lattice effect - I used mustard seed, spiced marmalade and tea dye. Then Tim Holtz tissue tapes were added, along with flowers from Crafttime and Hobbycraft and some black gems.


This was the kind of card that 'If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again .... which I did and did and did ... until I got to this stage (reasonably happy in the end).

    This is gorgeous Hazel - it's something I want to do when I'm 'playing'. The colours are super and really stand out with the black on there. I would be very proud of it if I were you. Lots of hugs and a mwah for Milo (of course) Sue Pxxx
