Old to new
In June 2015 I made this card - I never really particularly liked it, but kept it, thinking I might use it one day.
One evening, a neighbour requested a retirement card, asking if I would be able to make it quickly that evening. I just really didn't feel like making something from scratch, so I made new from old. I took off the picture, used an offcut piece of card trimmed with lace to add to the right hand side, adding the retirement sentiment and other sentiment, adding some gems and redistributing the flowers, adding the white ones. I was happy with this and liked it much more than the original card.
This is for:

City crafter 349: old stuff, new look
Morgan's ArtWorld 3: add flowers
Allsorts 402: hearts and/or flowers

As you like it: do you prefer ribbon or lace and why - I actually like using either - I think lace gives the feminine touch

I think the first card just needed a sentiment to finish it off. The second card is lovely as well. Quite dreamy.

ReplyDeleteWhat a clever transformation! I love both cards, actually, but I know the feeling of not being entirely happy with something, however much other people like it.
