Little tiggy tiger

This is my design card for Cheerful stamp pad challenge 99 second week - please click on the link to see the lovely designs of the rest of the team and we would love it if you would join in our challenge here.

For my card I've used Stitchy Bear's 'little tiggy tiger' kindly supplied by the challenge sponsor, coloured in copics and mounted on to an offcut of copper mirror card. The paw print twill ribbon and the computer printed sentiment were also mounted on to other snippets of copper mirror card and everything matted on to some animal print card that I've had for a long time ... just waiting for a 'tiggy tiger' to come along!

What a pity the copper mirror card doesn't show up in its full glory!

Crafting musketeers challenge 19: anything but a card

This is my design project for team B's mid-month design inspiration for Crafting musketeers challenge 19. You can see the lovely designs by the rest of team B here and can join in with your entries here - we would love to see you there.

The challenge is being sponsored by Delicious Doodles and I have used their 'penguin family' for my project.

Recently I bought a box of Belgian chocolate sticks and was taken with the fact that there was an inner box within the main packaging and I thought this would be good if altered and decorated to be used for housing a Christmas gift.

This is the original packaging:

And this is the altered project. I split the original image in two to create two panels (the back two panels are the same). I punched out a lot  of silver snowflakes from scrap pieces of silver mirror card, dotting them around above the images and also putting some on the gold fold down pieces of the inner box.

Hope you have a yummy Christmas

A year or two back I had a pack of Webster's Pages 'Waiting for Santa and Sweet Season', but most of them got used. I liked them so much that I've bought another pack of them this week and couldn't wait to use one of the papers. They are all double sided, so this enabled me to cut diagonally across the middle and reverse that piece when sticking to the card blank. It's a simple card with just the printed sentiment strip and three accordion sticker flowers from Helz Cuppleditch's Santa's workshop. The reason I chose to use these is a bit of a cheat because Karen chose the theme for this fortnight's Christmas Card Club challenge: teabag fold/origami. I hang my head in shame because it really isn't either and I didn't even make the accordion flowers, but they do have lots of folds, so I hope I will be forgiven.

It's difficult to see here, but the larger accordion flower has some yummy goodies on it, that fit in with the theme of the card.

CHNC challenge 203: go green

This is my card for my CHNC challenge 203: go green - use the colour green (a little or a lot) and/or upcycling.

This card is also my second one for CCAYR mid-month inspiration - you can see it here and all the lovely designs of the rest of the team and we would love you to join in - so, if you don't use any patterned paper, then please link as well for CCAYR November challenge.

I've used lots of the colour green and have also upcycled the four squares featuring mistletoe (rescued from a card a few years ago!), also using some glittered squares that have been in my Christmas stash for years.

Christmas cards all year round mid-month inspiration

This is my first design card for the mid-month inspiration for the CCAYR November challenge. You can see the lovely designs of the rest of the team here and join in here with your entries.

As the theme is 'no patterned paper' I chose to make a one layer simple design, using beautiful 'doodle frames holiday' stamps by Inkadinkado, inking with versamark and heat embossing with kettle copper powder. I rather like the shape of using a DL card sideways.

Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 55

This is my design card for Suzy Bee's bloomin' challenge 55: anything goes with a twist ... vintage. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs of the rest of the team and we would love to see your entries.

The main background paper is from Country Boutique by Fancypants and the newsprint torn piece is frrom Dovecraft curiosity corner, brushing the edges with rusty hinge distress ink.

The image is Sparkle n Sprinkle Vivian hat lady (kindly supplied by them as sponsors of the challenge) - it was coloured with spectrum noirs. I didn't have enough of the lace I wanted to use, so I used two snippets leaving a gap, so the lady could be mounted with a piece of 3D foam down the centre and until her hat. The burlap flowers were from Poundland and the buttons from Tea house bridge (I won a big bag of them as part of a prize).

CHNC challenge extra for November mid-month inspiration

Can you believe that we are already midway through November? Christmas is fast approaching, so it's time to get serious about getting those cards made, so it would be lovely if you could join in my CHNC challenge extra for November. Today the team are showing some mid-month inspiration that you can see here.

I made five very quick and easy cards (they were done for my Tearfund sale last Saturday) using LOTV pictures, mounted on to deckle edged squares, with some gold peel off greetings added.

Today sees the start of the Cheerful stamp pad challenge 99: here, Kitty, Kitty. Please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and we would love it if you joined in our challenge.

For my design card I used kitty 1 and kitty 2 kindly supplied by the sponsors, Stitchy Bear Stamps,, flipping kitty 1 horizontally, then coloured with spectrum noir pens. The background paper is some I got a long time ago from PDA card and crafts, twill ribbon from Hobbycraft and the two silver embellishments have been in my stash for ages (yes, they are both silver, although one looks gold in the picture).

The glory of Christmas challenge 46: biscuits/cookies

The theme for this fortnight's Glory of Christmas challenge 46 is 'biscuits/cookies', so for my design card I've used a lovely digi - The image is The Stamping Boutique 'for Santa' - that shows milk and cookies left out for Santa, but someone else has his eye on them! This was coloured with spectrum noir pens, torn round the edges and then coloured. The background is Hunkydory card with strips of washi tape added.

Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 54

This is my design card for today's Suzy Bee's bloomin' challenge 54: anything goes with a twist ... for a male.

I used Bugaboo stamps AKV golf - golf bag (kindly supplied by the sponsor of the challenge), colouring with spectrums and mounting on an offcut of Hunkydory foiled card.

The background pearlescent card with silver foiled stars has been in my stash for years and years. The diamond panel is another offcut - it was originally pearlescent white, but I coloured with spectrums.

Completely Christmas 37

For Completely Christmas 37 the twist today is 'let's see some blue', so I'm showing lots of blue! Please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and we hope to see your festive entries with some blue.

I'm also showing this card for my CHNC challenge 202: keep it flat - under 5 mm thick (to avoid higher postage costs in the UK particularly) - you can read more about the challenge by click on the link - I'd love to see your Christmas cards there.

A long time ago I took part in a sort of 'round robin' share-a-stamp group - I received this stamp to use and then pass on to the next one in the group. I went a bit mad at the time and stamped and stamped in various way and I still have a few of these left, including this one that where the stamp was inked with versamark and heat embossed with white detail powder. All the strips in the background are from my Christmas offcuts box, including the patterned piece that was originally run through the eBosser with the 8 x 8 'star of wonder' Embossalicious embossing folder which I then brushed over with stormy sky distress ink.

It was Lorraine's turn to choose the theme for this fortnight's Christmas Card Club challenge and she asked us to use snowmen.

I used a digital image that I've had for ages - Broken Boxstock 'snowman cartoon - it still makes me smile. Papers are offcuts of DCWV papers - you can just about see that the background snowmen are glossy.

For my CHNC challenge 201 this week I'm asking to see some Christmas sparkle.

Completely Christmas 36: anything goes with a twist ... add a robin

It's time for a new challenge for Completely Christmas and challenge 36 is asking for anything goes (Christmas) with a twist ... add a robin. My robin is a felt decoupaged one from Hobbycraft that sits nicely on the printed out Paper Pretties 'deck the boughs' with one of the greetings that came with the digi. Colouring was done with spectrums and art institute glitter added to the bauble.

As is usually the case with a mainly white card, it was difficult to get a photo that showed the card to full advantage - looks much brighter in real life.

Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 53

For Suzy Bee's Bloomin' challenge 53 the theme is 'anything goes with a twist ... add layers. Please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and join in our challenge.

For my card I used Paper Pretties 'a tail of two hearts', kindly supplied by the sponsors of the challenge, colouring with spectrum noir pens. I die cut this and the other mats using Spellbinder's marvellous squares run through the eBosser. The sentiment was part of the digi download. Everything then layered on to the Congratulations sentiments paper, so that the card would be suitable for engagement, wedding or anniversary.
