Not sure with shabby chic

A little bit of crafting (well, it actually took me quite a time) after another long day up at Guy's with John.

I wanted to do something for the DCM 'shabby chic' dare, but whether this is shabby enough or chic enough, I'm not sure!

The papers are unknown, but I think they came within a BF kit, as did the lace and the flowers, which were originally completely white, so I tinged them with orchid chalk ink. The image is Hero Arts 'Gracious Lady' (I've been wanting to get hold of this for ages and managed to win it on ebay a few days ago, so this is the first time I've used it). I stamped it on to a piece of slightly patterned paper (wish I'd taken a photo of what it looked like before I stamped) and coloured in her hat and coat with copics. The paper beneath the image has been embossed with the cuttlebug script embossing folder, torn and distressed with chestnut brown chalk ink.

The colours used are for challenge 28 on Colour Create, together with the option of pearls and swirls (I twirled some wire around a string of pearls so that I could twist it into swirls).

Week 6 on Stamp, Scrap and Doodle is a recipe: 'any image; 3 designer papers; 1 ribbon/lace', all of which are on this card, because the image is stamped on patterned paper.

It's also good for these challenges:

Day 160 on 365 cards
was 'lovely lace'

Our Creative Corner: A yummy colour combo: 'light pink, hot pink, brown, and white.'

Tanda Teaser 117
: text it! - 'use text in your card somewhere'.

Theme Thursday: script/writing
