This is for Less is More week 4: recipe: three squares. How come such a simple card took me so long?
I can't tell you the number of times I faffed around with this little Magenta stamp! It is inked with dusty concord.
I then discovered I'd got an Anna Griffin 'Hello!' stamp that I thought would be just right, but when I tried using it with the dusty concord DI I couldn't get a good impression, so I had to resort to using vibrant violet stazon. By this time I'd managed to get the squares right, otherwise I would have stamped the squares with the stazon.
All that for such a 'less is more' card (and the photo isn't up to much - it does actually look better irl) - the purple surround is my stamping mat, not part of the card.
This is also for:
Res-Q 72: boxes - use a square
If the shoe fits 68: let your purple shine!
I am celebrating with some candy - you can read about it and sign up here

Adore Magenta stamps Hazel, i have some beautiful small stamp squares somewhere and was hoping to use them for my entry but couldn't find them!
ReplyDeleteElegant and contemporary card which i like very much:-)
Love the little images...cute card!
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely Heather... CAS is not as easy as some may think. With fewer elements, things have to be just right and that can take time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us again. See you next time.

Hi Hazel, you have cracked it with this one! Stazon inks, as dye inks always give a crisper impression that other softer padded ones. The hardness of the pad makes it less 'squishy' I always find

Such elegance, it's beautiful xx Jan
ReplyDeleteDespite their ink saturation, I don't find DIs any good at all for stamping. Well done though, because my less is more entry is still in the faffing department!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it always the case that those 'quick & simple' cards always take longer to do.
ReplyDeleteYours has turned out really well though Hazel.
