CHNC challenge extra for October
I can't believe that this card is for October! already! This year is going mega quickly. If you haven't started on your Christmas cards now is the time to get your skates on - and what better way than to enter my CHNC challenge extra for October where there is the chance for you to be the randomly chosen winner of £21 of digital images from Bugaboo Stamps who kindly sponsor.
My card is very simple, using printed digital snowflake paper and Noel image, both supplied by Bugaboo Stamps with a piece of lace edged ribbon across the top and a few silver (although they look gold here, they are silver) mirror punched snowflakes. The Noel image was digitally coloured in Microsoft Paint.

Cheerful Stamp Pad challenge 70: tags
This is my design team tag for Cheerful stamp pad challenge 70: tags. This challenge is being sponsored by Lunagirl Vintage Images. This is really a fun challenge. You can have any type of theme you wish, just put it on a tag. If you happen to have an Lunagirl images, we would love to see you use them.
For this tag I used one of the pictures kindly supplied by Lunagirl, one of their labels 'woman called Anita', digitally blending this with a Dezinaworld music rose background. I printed this and mounted it on to a tag that I had lightly brushed with mustard seed and fired brick distress inks. Flowers and ribbons from stash.

More baubles for The Glory of Christmas 17
Having messed up a bit with the first card I made as my design card for The Glory of Christmas challenge 17, I inked, stamped and embossed once more and this time it was fine. This was then mounted on to a piece of foiled Hunkydory card and then on to the A5 landscape card blank.
Please click on the link for the challenge and admire the lovely crafting of the rest of the team, including a new member, Tanja - and please join in with our challenge.

The Glory of Christmas challenge 17
This card was going to be for The Glory of Christmas challenge 17, I've used the lovely Papermania Bauble Decoration stamp.
When I stamped the image for the first card the sentiment 'Christmas Cheer' lost a bit of the 'Cheer' on the bottom edge! I didn't want to waste this so I decided to separately stamp the sentiment and mount it on to silver mirror card to match the piece surrounding the image. Everything was inked with versamark and heat embossed with detail silver powder. A couple of strips of glittery silver on the left finished the card off. This is an A5 landscape card - the image is quite large, so needs a large card blank.

Please click on the link and see the gorgeous crafting of the rest of the team. We would love to see your 'purple power', using a Sweet Pea image if you have one, but, if not, join in with any image.
The shaped card blank was already decorated with a lilac pattern.I used Elaine Cox's Black Butterfly Fairy rubber stamp inked with memento tuxedo black and coloured with copics. I mounted the cut out on to two pieces of offcut papers, rounding the corners of the larger one. Organza ribbon and flowers from stash. Garden gate
A simple card using a shaped blank with distressed edges. The image is one that I stamped and coloured a long time ago and never used. It's a La Pasche foam stamp that was coloure with distress inks. This is then framed with a frame that was part of a Kanban kit long ago.

Frosty the snowman ...
It's a while since I made a Christmas card featuring a snowman, but that's what Sue J asked us to make for today's Christmas Card Club challenge. So I thought it was about time I used one of my favourite Stampotique stamps by Jo Capper-Sandon, colouring just a bit with spectrum noirs. I stamped this on to an offcut piece of hammered white card to give a bit of texture. The scalloped circles were cut with nesties. The backgrounds were made with my eBosser with the lovely Embossaliious 'star of wonder 8 x 8 embossing folder. The pieces used were all snippets left from earlier makes, so I'm into the playground for Pixie's crafty snippets week 91.
As ever, with mirror card it was difficult to get a photo without too much reflection. You can't really see, but the circular Craftwork cards sentiment says 'with love at Christmas', mounted on to a piece of glittered white ribbon from Hobbycraft.
I've based the card on the sketch given for Christmas card challenges week 43:

Another card for CHNC challenge 143
I made a second card for my CHNC challenge 143 with my poor attempt at stamping the angel - I didn't want to waste it and thought it looked a bit ethereal, so I've used it with more MME Lost and Found papers, using some of the scraps from the other card (double sided papers, so useful). The snow angel stamp is Inkadinkado inked with Adirondack currant ink and the one of the Die'sire sentiment stamps is also inked with currant.

This is my design team card for the first week of The cheerful stamp pad 69: I love your hat. Please click on the link and see the gorgeous crafting of the rest of the team and join in the challenge. There is a prize to be won from Rick StDennis
I've based my card on the sketch given for Sketch and stash 121, using up quite a lot of stash that I've had for a long time, including the lovely Basic Grey papers:
I've used the 1935 hat digi stamp kindly supplied by Rick StDennis, our sponsor, coloured with spectrum noirs. I die cut around the image and distressed with peacock feathers ink and embossed a couple of die cuts to mat behind, using 'budding vine' embossing folder and Embossalicious dottie from Crafter's Companion. Papers are Basic Grey majorlaine, again brushed with peacock feathers distress ink. Various other elements from stash including the lace that was coloured with the peacock feathers to match and flowers from Poundland. Although I cut into new papers, I couldn't resist using the offcut piece of Hunkydory foiled card, so this is one for Pixie's crafty snippets

CAS sympathy
Having taken on a few design team positions recently, I've been crafting away in preparation for future challenges, but haven't made so many other cards in between. As I have some charity sales coming up quite soon I need to make some other cards. Sadly, I can never make enough sympathy cards - that slot is empty in the box I have at church and I haven't got any left at home.
This is a clean and simple one, made with a ready shaped card blank that has a very light green shaded background. I inked the La Blanche foam stamp with memento cottage ivy and coloured the centre and petals of the daisy with copics. The sentiment stamp is a Dovecraft one that I picked up for 50p at The Works.

The glory of Christmas 16: monochrome
This is my design team card for The glory of Christmas 16: monochrome. It was lovely to see so many joining in last fortnight's 'anything goes' challenge - I hope that many will return during this coming fortnight and take part by making a monochrome Christmas card. It doesn't have to be black and white, it can be shades of any colour. And there will be a prize for the randomly chosen winner, so do hop on over to The glory of Christmas and join in - you've got to be in it to win it!
I used an A5 landscape opening card, cutting away half of the front. I randomly stamped the Anita dove stamp inked with stazon black, stamping just one on the inside panel so just the curl of the tail shows when the card is closed. The Personal Impressions sentiment stamp with also inked with stazon.

Another Christmas fairy with sparkle
This is my second card for the September mid-month inspiration for the CCAYR Christmas fairy with sparkle challenge.
This time I've used 'snappy tots' Christmas fairy, die cut with a nestability bauble and matted on to a larger bauble with a piece of gold Kanban paper. The background paper is Graphic 45 'we wish you a Merry Christmas'. I added some sparkle with the gold stars from Poundland and added a Craftwork cards sentiment circle.

Christmas fairy with sparkle
It's mid-month already and that means an inspiration post on Christmas cards all year round. This is the first of my mid-month cards for the September challenge. Please click on the link and see the lovely cards of the rest of the team ... and you still have until the end of the month to join in the 'Christmas fairy with sparkle' challenge.
The digital image was a freebie I found on the internet, which I dotted with a quickie glue pen and added silver glitter, then matted on to a couple of offcuts of mirror card. The shaped card blank was already decorated. I added ribbon on to the silver strip, then on to the card, adding the flowers with brad and the silver sentiment.
