Delicious Doodles Guest Designer

I've been privileged to be asked to join Delicious Doodles: love is in the air, as their Guest Designer. As the theme is 'love' I chose to use the steampunk heart image. I coloured parts of this with metallic pens - gold, copper and light and dark silvers, sponging with fired brick distress ink. The two background papers were from PDA (a long time ago) - I sponged the main background one with the fired brick. I embossed a piece of 7 gypsies collections from the journey with an embossing folder and then sponged with fired brick. I added a metal keyhole from The Works and the sentiment which was generated on my Dymo letratag.

I used Digistamps4Joy Ellie's flowers (they are sponsoring the challenge and kindly provided the image) and three different digital papers by Lozzy, printed out, with Ellie's flowers coloured with spectrum noir pense, with the addition of some sparkly flowers, corrugated card strip and bow sticker with gems from Poundland, all mounted on to deep pink mirror card and then the bright pink card blank.

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper February 2016 challenge

The month of January often seems to drag on and on, but somehow this year it has gone quite quickly, despite being ill for most of it.

So it's time for Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper February 2016 challenge. Please click on the link to see the lovely designs by the team and we would love you to join in the challenge - any creation is acceptable as long as some patterned paper has been used.

Sadly, I needed to make a sympathy card, so this is what I made to show for the patterned paper challenge, using four Autumn Archives papers, Penny Black sparklers stamp and Anita's sentiment stamp, both inked with memento cottage ivy. The prize for my challenge is a 6 x 6 paperstack of the Autumn Archives papers plus a Crafter's companion compendium CD-rom (more details here).
