Calendar girls crafty challenge

A new monthly challenge blog called Calendar Girls Crafty Challenges is starting on 2 June and each month the theme will be something relevant to that month. I am excited and privileged to have been invited to be on the Design Team.

There are some fabulous sponsors lined up and the team are looking for a few more members, so if you like working with sponsor images and can commit to one project a month and leaving comments on a rota  system then head over to the DT call.

To have and to hold

I bought some of these sentiment panels years ago ... and still have one or two. Other bits and pieces from stash, all mounted on matt silver and gold card, with the addition of the rings. The bits that look black are actually silver mirror.

Suitable, I think, for either wedding or anniversary. Haven't made a card in this style for ages.

This is a quick card made with an offcut of paper (unknown), some sticky ribbon, three glittery flowers and the metallic silver sentiment panel.

Crafting musketeers challenge 37: summer

This is my card for Crafting musketeers challenge 37: summer. Please click on the link to see the lovely crafting of the rest of the team and we hope you will join in our challenge.

Well, summer must be on it's way soooon, although last week we had four seasons in one day ... sun, hail, sun, snow, wind ...

I think you need your sunglasses on for viewing this card ... well, it is all about summer.

I've used the Sunsational Stamps Tiffany lounging image kindly supplied by the sponsor of the challenge. I coloured with spectrum noir pens and die cut with X cut rectangular parenthesis die (these are among my favourites), using a larger one to cut an offcut of We R Memory Keepers paper that had been left from a previous project.

The background was created with acrylic paint, a stencil and the gelli plate (left over from a previous project). Ribbon is DCWV, a chipboard 'FUN' that I've had for ages and a pair of flip flop charms (much brighter colour irl).
