Blog candy on Dottie's world

Louly on Dottie's world is giving away some blog candy to celebrate her 35th birthday (what a youngster!) Three lucky folks will be randomly picked on 23rd December to receive a download bundle of their choice. Why not pop over to Dottie's and leave a comment to be in with a chance of winning - and while you're there, take a look at the wonderful crafting and perhaps enter this week's challenge - Dottie and George downloads are available at Charmed Cards & Crafts.

DCM: white Christmas and pink

This week the DCM dare is: 'we're dreaming of a white Christmas with ...a splash of pink.

Everything on this card is from the DCWV winter collection:

and whilte I was at it, I made another one, but not so much white on this one:

Friday Sketchers No. 30 + Theme Thursday: Santa + Created by hand

This is the sketch this week on Friday Sketchers:

I used Brenda Pinnick papers and a Hero Arts stamp of Santa.

The topic on Theme Thursday this week is Santa, so I'm linking for that as well:

This also fits the 'red and green' challenge on Created by hand, so I'm linking there too.

CBC CCAD 3 + Rainbow Lady challenge 40: snowman

Today's CCAD on CBC is a recipe:

'you can make anything you fancy BUT your creation MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING

* at least 4 Patterned Papers
* a button
* some blooms
* some ribbon'

Once again, I've used Dovecraft papers (4 layered + the image), blooms, ribbon and buttons.

The theme this week on Rainbow Lady's blog is 'snowman', so I'm submitting this card there as well.

The theme on ABC challenge blog last week was S for snow (I know I'm too late really, but I'm also linking to this).

CBC CCAD 2 + ABC threes

For CCAD 2, Sue provided us with this picture:

and asked us to make something using the colours (red, gold and green).

I used Dovecraft papers (again from the packet sent to me by Annmarie) and a sentiment square topped with one of the Dovecraft paper images. I then added a few gems.

On ABC challenge blog this week the theme is T for threes, so I'm linking this card there: I've used 3 background papers, 3 x 2 red gems, 3 x 2 gold gems.

BTW, the card isn't crooked irl - it's the photo!

In the run up to Christmas, Sue on CBC is posting a challenge a day during advent.

For day 1, Sue provided this template:

The holly is a Tanda Stamp designed by Sheila (I confess that I bought it last year and, although I loved it, I didn't use it then). As I didn't want the bottom bit to be as long as the side image, I inked up and then put a piece of kitchen towel over the bit of the stamp I didn't want. I inked with archival library green and coloured with Marvy pens.

The background paper is a last year's Papermania one (I'm still trying to use them up) and the image is cut from a Dovecraft paper that was in a pack sent to me by Annmarie. The surrounds of the picture and the sentiment strips are layered on silver foiling, which isn't really apparent in the scan.

BF Advent 3

For day 3 of the advent swap on BF I've received some lovely black and gold ricrac (haven't got any of these colours, so am really appreciative of these):
