Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper September 2022 challenge

This is my design card for my Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper September 2022 challenge. If you make anything that includes some patterned paper or card you can link your entries. Please click on the challenge link to find out more and join in the fun.

This was a commissioned card to be sent to a daughter-in-law who loves sewing, using Hunkydory patterned card, a page from a magazine on the right hand side of the insert and various bits and pieces from my stash, with the lovely picture of a lady and child that appeared in the Daily Mail.

The fancy ovals for the sentiment were die cut using todo dies, with the printed sentiment quickly covered with detail embossing powder and heat embossed.

CHNC challenge 609

This is my card for my CHNC challenge 609 - please click on the link to find out what it's all about and I hope you'll be able to join in with your Christmas designs - anything goes as long as it's Christmas with the optional theme of 'embossing (wet or dry)'.

This is very similar to a card I showed for my CHNC  challenge 607. As before, I used one of my favourite embossing folders by Lisa Horton, which also die cuts, using gold mirror card mounted on to a black card blank, with the addition of the sentiment and a couple of Italian Options gold poinsettia.
