The morning stars sang together ...

... and the angels shouted for Job - Job 38:7

If you've seen my previous post, you'll know that, having stamped a card blank wrongly, I had the idea of making ten cards out of five card blanks, which I've done here as well.

These blank card blanks already had the random silver foiling on the edges, so all I've done is inked the Tin can mail stamp with versamark and heat embossed with silver detail powder.

So that's another two packs of 5 Christmas cards ready for selling for Tearfund.

A happy accident

As regular readers of my blog know, I sell Christmas cards to raise funds for Tearfund. I don't charge as much for them as for other cards because people need a lot of Christmas cards and can't afford to pay too much for them (especially as they can go to certain shops and get a box full cheaply). I always make some packs of 5 to sell for £2 - they always seem to go well. I had some nice cream square card blanks with random gold foiling on the edges. I decided to simply ink the Anna Griffin stamp with versamark and heat emboss with detail gold powder. The stamp was a bargain - it had been used so it was in the bargain bin at That Craft Place when I visited a couple of months ago.

Having successfully stamped and embossed four cards I then found that I'd done the fifth one upside down! Of course, I could have kept the 4 and discarded the wrong one, but I wanted packs of five. Then I realised that, as the cards had the foiling on both sides I could cut them and make ten cards from the five card blanks - all I needed were 10 plain card blanks to stick them to - you can't see it here, but the card blanks are actually dark brown, which gives a nice contrast to the cream.

So, I'm glad I made the mistake of stamping upside down - now I have two packs of 5 cards!
