This is the theme for CBCC091 on CBC, the challenge set by Jackie (okey-dokey). Jackie said:
'This week instead of using the same old traditional colours when you colour in I challenge you to make a card, scrapbook page (or other) using some wacky colours. So I don't want to see green grass, blue sky, red hearts etc. Try just closing your eyes and picking out colours at random. '
Well, I've had a go at this, but I'm not at all sure about it - I think the elephant has ended up looking like Elmer gone wrong! The stamp is from a Daisy and Dandelion set 'pickles and onions'. The paper is from K & Co Donna Ingemanson 'rough and tumble'.
I'll try anything once, but I don't think this is a style I'll be repeating!

Keep it to yourself
'Keep it to yourself' is today's theme on 365, the idea being that we make a card for a birthday without actually putting a greeting on it - so that it's obvious what the card is.
I think cakes are figuring quite highly in this challenge today. Here's mine, using all Basic Grey ingredients. The candles and scallops are chipboard, with rub on looped decoration.
Sorry, awful photo.

Golden Wedding decoupage
I needed to make a couple of Golden Wedding cards, so I chose to make ones involving decoupage (especially as they haven't got to go through the post) and in the style that I think the recipients will appreciate.
I'm linking these cards for the current Dewdrop Craftz competition - do go over and have a look and join in - which is to use layers.
The first one has a matching envie lined with the same paper as that on the right of the card (from a QVC kit) - it has a pearlised sheen to it:
For the second one I used a gatefold card, with the decoupage in the middle, mounted on vellum, which itself is mounted on gold foil - put the 50s in the four corners to hide the spot of glue to keep the vellum down:

Salt: Serenity
For the new Salt challenge today, Ruth chose the topic of serenity - you can read about it here and see the beautiful creations of the rest of the team - what a delight it is to see so much gorgeous crafting on the Salt blog.
My LO is based upon the serenity prayer (you can read it if you click on the picture). I used a copyright-free photo from here and cut it into a circle and surround on the cricut. The main 12 x 12 is 'waterfall' by Kodomoinc.
Please go over and have a look at what the rest of the team have done and perhaps join us with a LO, a card or some other crafting.
