The Cavendish ladies

This was a commissioned card some time ago for a 90 year old sister-in-law. It's an 8 x 8 card with an unknown piece of background paper. I used two of the Cavendish ladies set of stamps by Kanban, inked with memento tuxedo black and coloured with Spectrum noir pens, adding glitter to the cuffs of the lady on the left. I added lots of flowers and the sentiment ovals.

On your birthday

This card is similar to the one I showed here yesterday, once again using a lovely turquoise textured card blank from The Works, adding the lovely Anita toppers and borders, the letters with gems, the Birthday greeting and some co-ordinating Anita  plant.

For a special sister

This was a card commissioned some time ago for a special lady for her 60th birthday. I was asked to incorporate things and places that were special to Linda and to include the lovely picture of her in the middle. As she loves churches and stained glass windows, it was agreed to make an easel card with the church window incorporating all the things she loves. I used some strips of gems, washi tape and a flower as the stopper on the easel and printed the greeting which was matted on to mirror card, the colour being Linda's favourite. A piece of Anna Griffin paper was used on the base. Butterflies and flowers were added.

It wasn't easy getting pictures and making them fit the spaces (did this digitally), but it was well worth the effort.

How I put it together, with the stained class effect behind the church window, then I cut round the edges:

UR 18

This was a commissioned card for a great grandson's 18th birthday some time ago. I love this big old Sizzix die of a motor car (I've used it a fair bit over the years) - I die cut a piece of blue mirror card, die cut again to get the silver headlamps and again to get acetate to put behind the windscreen area. Papers are Hunkydory, including the pieces die cut with the Spellbinders labels dies, first printing on to the zig zag piece and heat embossing with detail silver. The corner circles were cut as per the headlamps.

For a musician

This was a commissioned card for a musician, who plays the flute as well as other instruments. The background music paper is some that I bought long ago. I inked the lovely Penny Black toot the flute stamp with versafine black and heat embossed with clear detail powder, colouring in with spectrum noir pens and mounting on to silver card, adding the numerals and the dymo letratag sentiment.

Blossoms & butterflies

For this recently commissioned 8 x 8 anniversary card I used papers from the lovely DCWV  Blossoms & Butterflies stack. I printed the sentiment on a small piece of paper and, because it was shiny, I had time to put on some white detail embossing powder and heat. The flowers at the bottom were cut out from a second piece of the paper and decoupaged with 3D foam. Flowers and butterflies were from Hobbycraft.

21st birthday

I was commissioned to make this 21st birthday card for a lad. I used a mix of Kanban and Hunkydory supplies - the foiled card with 21 repeated was bought years ago, but still serves the purpose. The sentiments were printed and matted on to copper pearlescent card. The centre wrap piece was from Kanban. I was asked to keep it simple and flat for posting.

Hunkydory dots for the inside:

For a great granddaughter

I made this commissioned card a couple of days ago, using papers from Dovecraft's Kiss and make up - I love these, just right for a teenage birthday. I generated the birthday sentiment on computer and printed out on to slightly glossy paper, which gave me enough time to throw on some detail gold powder and heat emboss,  before die cutting and embossing with the todo die, using the next size up to cut and emboss a matching piece of pearlescent card. I then added various bits and pieces including the lovely Forever Friends bear.

It's summertime

Looking out of the window this morning, it doesn't look like summertime, but perhaps my card will bring a bit of cheer. The lovely caravan circle topper was from Hobby House, matted on to a shaped piece of card and then the card blank, with the addition of sentiment tag and stickers.
