Bright Easter

I have no inclination to do any crafting this evening and it's been another day with time spent at the hospital, so I'm showing Easter cards that I made on the weekend, including this one with the lovely sunshiny flower background (I've got quite a lot of these papers - various flowers - not a clue where they originaly came from). The topper with the cross and flowers has a white pearlescent background that doesn't really show here. Once again I used the letratag to make the sentiment.

Purple and yellow Easter

This is another Easter card that I made on the weekend, using Hunkydory supplies, a Hobbycraft flower and some corrugated trim. The  background card has some lovely glistening foiling on it, but that doesn't show here.

Blue and green Easter

It was lovely on Saturday to sneak a good crafting session and make a fair number of Easter cards. This is another one I made then. It's a fairly unusual combo of green and blue, but I think it works. The green stardream card blank is sparkly, but that doesn't show here. I cut off the right hand piece, matting the cross topper half way so that when the card is closed it goes over the spotted offcut I've used for part of the inside. The sentiment was generated on the Dymo letratag and I added a wooden butterfly embellishment that I've had for a long time (got another couple).

Hope your 18th birthday ...

... gets off to a flying start.

This is the 18th birthday card that I made for one of my great nephews who is having flying lessons. I've incorporated a picture of him in a plane although it's too small to actually see that it's him! It's his birthday today, so, hopefully, he's now seen this in reality.

The background paper is Crafts House retro brown and the blue strip with semi circles is October Afternoon Charles. I also used the offcut of 18 card that I've had for a long time, as well as the torn sentiment strip and corrugated card under the picture of the plane which is raised up with 3D foam. The chipboard medallion has been waiting to be used, with the addition of the numbers stuck on.

This is an 8 x 8 card. The yellow writing on the picture (added digitally) is a lot clearer in real life than it is here.

The good Shepherd ...

... giveth his life for the sheep.

Another two Easter cards using toppers that I must have bought two or three years ago - they have a lovely sheen to them. And I just added the foiled card from Hunkydory to the side and added the sentiments generated on the Dymo letratag.

Carol singers

This is another card similar to the one I made for my CHNC challenge 221 that started on Saturday, using papers and stickers from the Simple stories '25 days of Christmas' collection and using the group of carol singers that I made digitally using some of the images from Digital Paper Craft clipart carol singers (Digital Paper Crafts are one of this week's sponsors). You can see my original card here on my Christmas challenge blog and here on this blog. I would love it if you would join in the challenge to depict 'Christmas singing' on your design, perhaps incorporating carol singers, music or designing something inspired by a Christmas carol or song.

So here is my new card, which I'm linking for the March Rudolph Day hosted by the lovely Scrappymo! I'm also adding this card to my CHNC challenge 221 as a bit more inspiration. Everything was mounted on to a large white card blank opening tent style.
