Large butterfly birthday wishes

The background of this card was cut from a ready made card blank from The Works (so that I could get two cards out of it, stuck to white card blanks). The large butterfly is one of a set that I got some time ago from TK Maxx (they used to do much more craft stuff than they do now ... wish they would do more because I miss rummaging and finding different things). The little metal domed frame was from The Works.

80th birthdays

This is a commissioned card. I was asked to make it for a husband and wife who will both be 80. The wife is very interested in going to National Trust properties and the husband likes cycling.

I found the picture of Fountains Abbey, which is a NT property, printed and mounted on to gold mirror card. The decoupaged 'coastal path' with the bicycle is from Hunkydory.

The background is from Hunkydory Marvellous mirri pad 'stunning stripes' - it looks dull in most of the photo, but is nice and bright irl.

The sentiment ovals are from Kanban and the lacy flowers with pearls are from The Works.

The MOVIE piece is 3D with acetate which can't be seen here.

WOYWW 478

It's Wednesday and that means a visit to Julia's lovely blog and lots of other lovely crafting spaces to explore and enjoy. If you don't know what I'm talking about, the head over to WOYWW 478 at Julia's lovely blog and find out ... and I hope you'll join in the fun.

This is the left side of my desk, where you can see a pile of things at the back, including the prize for my Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper August 2018 challenge that started early this morning. There's also a pile of cards that I've made this week - only a couple have been blogged so far ... the others soon.

On the right there is a pile of bits and pieces waiting to be used in some way, with the Marvellous mirri pad that has been used for a couple of cards still to be shown.

It's an early start this morning as transport can come any moment now to take us to Guy's for an appointment for John. I'll be back later to visit other WOYWW blogs.
