40th birthday card

My stepson was 40 the other day - this is the card that I made for him using a Docrafts candles stamp (it is a long stamp with 25 candles on it, so I stamped twice and cute 5 off each image). I can't remember where I got the text card from, but I've got lots of it in different colours. The piece on the shape at the top was in my offcuts box - I used another piece to print our message on the inside of the easel strut.I coloured the candles with spectrum noir pens and promarkers.

I'm entering this into these challenges:

Crafting musketeers March challenge 11: art deco

This is my design card for team B's inspiration for Crafting Musketeers art deco challenge. You can join in the challenge here - we would love to see your art deco crafting. This challenge is being sponsored by Debbi Moore and I have used a background paper download and the images. The image on the front has been printed three times and decoupaged. The gold mirror card matting looks so much better in real life, as does the gold sentiment circle.

I made this for my stepson's girl friend and I think she liked it.

This is an A5 landscape card used as an upright tent card. And I used another image inside the card and wrote on the upper inside.

Glory of Christmas challenge 29: cocoa, hot drink

When I knew what challenge 29 was going to be for the Glory of Christmas, I remembered that ages ago I had made a tag using Meljen's 'Christmas cocoa' image. I hunted through all of my Christmas stash ... and I couldn't find it, but I had the image saved on computer, so I printed it, cut round it, mounted on to an offcut of spotty Hunkydory card and then matted on to another piece of Hunkydory card with the lamp post image, adding lots of silver snowflakes and the sentiment.

Please click here to see the crafting of the rest of the team and to join in our challenge - we'd love to see you there.

While I was looking for the Hunkydory card with the lamp post, something suddenly felt out from between two other pieces of card (I had looked right through that box earlier) and it was, of course, the tag that I had made ages ago, so I decided I would make a second design card for the Glory of Christmas challenge 29. This time the background card  is an old Kanban offcut. I used a couple of scraps of Hunkydory and papermania papers to form the border near the bottom. The background of the tag had been stamped randomly with snowflakes using stazon cactus green and the torn edges of the image had been brushed with chalk. The clumps of berries are from a Kaisercraft turtle dove pack of various elements.

These are also for (mainly the second card):

Christmas angels

It was Christine's turn to choose the theme for the Christmas Card Club challenge for this fortnight and she said she would like to see wings. So I've used two lovely glittered stickers raised up with 3D foam mounted on to a piece of Hunkydory card. The ribbon with bow is one that I rescued from someone - it might have been a box of chocolates, I can't remember, but it is definitely recycled. The sentiment is one that got left over from an old Kanban kit.

The photo has made the right hand side of the card look lighter than it actually is, but it's the best I could do.
